APF: Moving Forward

Greetings my fellow APF members,

I write today to inform you all that I hope to be our next APF Party President. I know that after this past month of helping to build the party from the ground up I am ready for this responsibility and challenge.

My past experiences in this game not related to APF include:

- 4 Term Senator from Washington
- eUS Congressional WHIP 1 Term
- Founder of Bull Moose Party (BMP)
- Re-created the USWP Workers Militia which is now known as the APF Workers Militia
- Deputy Chief of Staff USWP


My experiences with the APF are:

- I was appointed by the old USWP to be 1 of 6 members of the new APF Provisional board which was challenged to create a constitution, unite the three different parties coming in, and basically get the party up and running.

- Our Party President, Max McFarland II, appointed me Chief of Staff and it was my task to put together the best APF Board I could. I brought in amazingly talented people from all of the three old parties to create the best board I have ever worked with. I handpicked most of these people so I know them well and would love the chance to work with them again as their Party President.

- Since MM2 decided to step down, he left me as acting PP and I’ve done my best to work without a mandate from an election. I hope to gain that mandate this election and push the APF to do the best it possibly can.



My plans for this upcoming term:

First off, I would like to announce that if I win I will appoint ballman to become the new Chief of Staff to replace myself. Ballman is a former Party President of the old AAP along with multiple other positions including experience in recruiting, communations, elections, etc. Both of us are looking to add a Deputy Chief of Staff as well.

Our Recruitment and Retention office struggled to get up and running but those days are over. With the combined efforts of LexLuthor1, Pearcey333, Destroyer330, and Angelini I know this department will get going full speed as plans are already in the works. I would be appointing Pearcey333 as the head of that department with APF Board approval as my first action as PP.

As our Chief Financial Officer, Joe DaSmoe has done an amazing job getting our companies and bank up and running. I will work with Joe who is truly one of the most honorable men in the eUS that I have come across to get APF members working in these companies, create stockpiles, and use those gifts, food, tickets, guns to help with recruitment, retention, elections, etc. I look forward to growing our financial influence in the economy and helping use those funds for the betterment of new players.

What can I say about Fionia our elections goddess... Our first term running elections as APF was an immense challenge unseen by many other party leaders. She had the task of taking three parties which had all promised people the ability to run under them, merge them all into one, avoid breaking promises to our leaders and win us the majority of seats. She was able to accomplish all of that with the help of her staff of Rheinlander, Sweetbags and the infamously silly, yet incredibly hard working Syrup. Last election was also hard due to Fionia and I having real life responsibilities that forced us to miss Election Day. As well, the class system used in the different parties to remove those not ready could not be redone in such a short time. The APF will implement our education system for those wishing to run for congress, have a full calendar of events, remove candidates deemed too unprepared to run and then train them for the future, and work with the FEC to ensure we as the eUS avoid PTO’s. Fionia and her team are already hard at work on this to ensure all in the eUS that the APF will work with our esteemed national leaders like Astra Kat G, Rod Damon, LaurenBug, etc who all help ensure that “enemies” don’t slip through the cracks. Elections will be a top priority of the APF and all will be done to ensure we are successful in gaining the majority of congressional seats, putting in qualified candidates and helping the eUS accomplish its goals.



Our communications team has grown over double since its inception under the leadership of Seeker1 and I hope she will continue to do the great job of running our newspaper and her mass mailing staff to ensure all APF members know what is going on.

Our Legal and Intel departments have been run by Inwegen and Laurenbug respectively. They are both doing a great job and I will utilize our Intel department more to work with other political parties to prevent PTO’s. Our forum is largely due to the work of Inwegen who has done an outstanding job of setting it up, moderating it and staying on top of our constitution which governs our actions.

Evan Feinman a long time senator has been our Congressional Whip. This will be a position that will require some of my focus as well to get our senators working together to teach new APF senators how to draft legislation, work with other senators from different parties, and try to change the image of the senate which is often a poor one. It’s a new generation mixing with the old in the senate and the possibilities are endless. I hope someday all will eat their words for saying that the senate will never accomplish anything outside of simple game mechanics but for now those words remain largely true.

This leads me to the APF Militia. This will be my personal focus should I be fortunate enough to get the majority of votes and win. I will work with Walter Joseph Kovacs and his Lt’s to ensure the daily dispersal of weapons, tickets when necessary and recruitment of new players to join both the militia and our party. This group is highly active on our forum and their IRC channel and I hope to watch them grow into a solid fighting force. Many of the current militia privates were recruited by me and have shown great potential in both the militia and the APF party. I look forward to watching the militia grow and the private’s move up the ranks and then help run the APF on a political level as well.


My plans for the eUS as a whole and other political parties:



Recently, the debate drew some attention that was hosted by Chocolate McSkittles between APF and SEES. I, and most all involved, found it to be a waste of time. These issues can be better solved 1 v 1 or in a private channel because I found many answers were written on both sides for the public to see. That’s not going to help the situation between these parties. Here is my stance and the one I hope the APF Board would agree with if I’m chosen as PP.


1. Try to work with SEES realizing that they have a great purpose in this nation. Their style is very different from ours but they attract a specific group of players which often is the opposite of ours. This does not make one better than the other as to who they attract. I was able to speak for hours with Chisholm who is one of the SEES party elders and we came to understand each other sides a bit better thanks to a 1 on 1 conversation.


2. I honestly believe that having two top political parties that are stable and near impossible to PTO will make our nation very strong. So what about the other three? The Feds, Libs and UIP. The Feds are a strong group with a great sense of party pride. I do not have a working relationship with Fingerguns but look forward to helping the Feds if they ever ask for it. I do not worry about their ability to run themselves and avoid trouble. The UIP has some of the nicest players I’ve had the good fortune to work with since I started this game. I look forward to working with their leadership to try to strengthen their party to avoid PTO. The LIBS and UIP need the help of SEES and APF to ensure the strength of this nation. If SEES and APF are constantly worried about getting taken over by the other, we will fight each other and foreigners will PTO one of the other top five parties. This hurts the eUS and I do not wish to see this happen.


3. APF and SEES should be working together, accepting they are different but our end goals are the same. Those goals include ATO is #1 priority and let’s recruit, retain and train new players in our nation to make us stronger on the international level.



So what am I hoping for? I hope that 1 month from the date, I could win PP and the nation will be stronger, not just the APF. I promise now that I will never run for an executive office position, I am a retired for eLife senator and do not wish to return. My goals are very clear and straightforward. I want to build the APF into the party it should be, strengthen the political scene by working together, instead of against other parties and work with new players so they find a nation that works together, fights together and exists peacefully together without nonstop drama, insults and party bickering. All sides are guilty of this, but I hope for the sake of the eUS that we can accomplish many or all of the items I have listed. I hate to see so many old top tier players leave the game or the eUS. This cannot keep happening, so a change of course is needed and I hope to help lead that change.
