Anti-PTO Pact- Fresh of the RPA production line
Comrade Robb
Well as the RPA was PTO'ed I'm taking a leaf out of the only other real political job I've ever held down and that was working for the Cossacks in eRussia where PTO's were a real danger every election, now I know that PTO's down here are a small danger but recently we have had two so I remembered the old Anit-PTO Pact the Cossacks used, using the same scheme we can hope to minimize the risk of PTO's especially on smaller parties.
Here is the general idea
NOT THIS IS ONLY AN IDEA AND I WILL DISCUSS IT WITH OTHER PP'S IF PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED
1. Make official elections in a subforum, controlling who can vote (only real members of the Party).
2. Hold forum election quite some time before the election in eRep
3. Only the winner of that election wil be considered the 'offical' canidate for the Rep elections.
4. All other candidates will be encouraged not to present, this included offering them the 2 Gold back.
5. If friendly encouragement did not work, then resort to the usemedia pressure and contacted the unoffical candidates friends.
6. If 4 and 5 do not work then people will simply have to vote or the Offical candidate
7. If there are no unoffical candidates then the Party will offer help and votes parties who DO have unoffical candidates
Like I said this is a simple idea and not yet anything real or substansal I'm simply testing the waters here.
Comments
I like the 7 idea.
It would be good for all parties to make a pact that if only one candidate was up for election (no challengers) then that party's members be on 'stand-by' to help if a PTO is in place somewhere else.
It wouldn't happen that often, but it's good for watching each other's back.
Exactly Crowded, this idea presents an back up option for incase the Immigration policies we have fail. As I know all the citizen applications are screened it has often been pointed that a real PTO'er would just start inside eAus. This makes it more difficult to PTO parties, however congress PTO's are still harder to stop and this plan has no effect on congressional PTO's. Bu this is better han nothing.
[nods] suggested this back in May last year; it's a simple way of saving Gold.
The other option is to sell off the advertising.
