The Election

The Party Presidential elections for February have concluded with a very close race between Lord Ferrum (24) and myself (27), overall turnout was very high (75😵 which was likely influenced by Plato’s Valentine’s Day missions but not entirely. Turnout in the ANP was higher (by 😵 than any of the larger party's, I would like to think this was because we are the most active but it is unlikely. I will ask that members of other parties please refrain from voting in ANP PP’s in the future as it is unfair and opens the door for retaliation.

To the members who have voted for me, I say thank you for the trust you have placed in me to guide the party over the next month. To those who voted for the other candidates rest assured I will take advice from all party members should they wish to give it.

Recruitment

A major part of my goals this month is to build party membership. I have already started direct messaging of new and un-aligned players and have seen a substantial rise since I begun 2 weeks ago. I will continue this with the short term aim of capturing the number 2 spot, with a long-term goal of unseating the APP and returning the party to its rightful place.

My secondary goal is to get ANP members to use IRC and the forum. Using the forum is the easiest way to communicate within the party and if you are not a member or don’t have access you are missing out on internal discussions. IRC is great for getting to know your fellow party members, I have also found that some of the best ideas come about in the brainstorming sessions that happen in #ANP. A link to the eAustralian forum can be found at the bottom of this article, at the forum there are many helpful tutorials, one of which will help you start to use IRC.

Senate Elections

Senate elections are happening again soon, I wish to fill the ANP ballot ticket as much as possible and will try and spread our members throughout the states to maximize our chances. I will contact all party members shortly with info about how you can get involved, alternatively go to the forum and express your interest or send me a pm.
