Election time! Are you pumped? I know I am. I’m looking forward to being your representative in North Carolina for 3 months running! Now there’s several questions you should be asking. One is, do you feel lucky? Well do ya, punk? That answer is yes, you should. You get to vote for me, to put me back where I rightfully belong, in Congress. Second is, why should I vote for an egotistical jag off like you? Ah, good question.

There’s always the boring answers like, I’m active, I have a brain, I will help the country, etc. You may be saying, “Yes, yes, I’ve heard all that before. Now what makes you different from the hundreds of other people begging me to vote for them?” That answer to that question is the ideas I bring to the table.

First Idea: I can’t believe I’m saying this but…. I want to create the UN. Now before you start freaking out about how I want to bring a do nothing organization into the game, let me explain. The UN’s purpose is twofold. First purpose is to eliminate PTO. I think most of us are against TO’s, even if they’re performed by Atlantis. We’ll prevent this by having each country pledging to not participate in PTO’s and also to help prevent PTO’s if they were to happen in a UN country by sending voters to help the legitimate candidate. The second would be this, to be a free trade alliance. All members will have a max import tax of say, 25%. Countries may chose to have them lower if they wish. This will make the UN become a much stronger alliance through trade, giving us an advantage over other alliances. Here’s a bonus, the third alliance will at the very least be something different from the two alliance system we have currently. There are many ways for this plan to fail, and I realize that. However, if there’s some chance to eliminate PTO’s from the game then we must try.

Second Idea: To eliminate the Army. “What?! Why should we do this?!?!?!” It has no purpose. We have the elite Marines to help fight in other countries, and to tank. The NG fights the main battles. The Army does…..something. I’ve been here for three months, and no disrespect to those in the army, but you perform the same function as the NG does. To make the army more organized, just put the Army in the 3rd branch of the NG or create a new fourth branch. The budgeted funds for the army can be added onto the NG’s budget. Then the Marines can go into either the third or forth branch and recruit the best of the best. This makes the military more streamlined and it makes the country better for it. Simple.

Third Idea: This could possibly be even more controversial than the first two. Eliminate MoW. Now this isn’t an official position yet. I’m waiting on the new numbers to come back before any action is taken. However, I have a suspicion that the rewards won’t outweigh the costs. When MoW was started it was $4,000 a month to supply brand new noobs with food and gifts. One month later it’s over $11,000. This number will only increase as more and more citizens join the game. Let’s not be like the RL American which is getting crippled by legacy programs like social security and Medicare. If this program isn't retaining a decent amount of citizens then it must be eliminated soon before it takes up too much of the budget.

Now I’d like to say my ideas aren’t original, those who came up with them, know who you are. Also, for theses ideas to be implemented, it’ll take a lot of hard work and coordination by a lot of people, so the road will be tough but still possible. Make sure to do your research on the candidates in each of your states and pick the best one. Don’t be a zombie. Together we can create a better new world.
