Another Month, Another Congress Election - Albert Neurath's Manifesto

Day 1,190, 10:44 Published in Austria Austria by Albert Neurath

We are now drawing closer to yet another Congressional election, which means that the global media is about to be bombarded with manifestos of all shapes and sizes. I will be contributing to that bombardment with this article.

I am running for re-election to Congress this term. This election is of special importance to me, as it will be the 22nd time I have run for Congress, and hopefully the 20th time that I am elected to Congress. I would like to therefore thank all of the people, past and present, who have helped put me in this position.

If elected to Congress, I will be focusing much of my attention on two aspects of government, namely, economic matters and matters of national organization. Owing to the actions of a few rogues last Congressional term, our tax structure has fluctuated greatly. As a Congress, and as a government, it is in our interest to devise a new tax scheme, one that will balance the needs of the national treasury and the needs of the economy.

Over the last month, we were plagued with a series of damaging, and, quite frankly, dangerous proposals. One Congressman attempted to propose Switzerland as our Natural Enemy, which would have led to a war we neither wanted or needed. Another tried to impeach the President, for no reason whatsoever. To prevent such a thing from ever happening again, we need to focus on national organization. A crucial part of this is the establishment of a new national forum. It is never in the national interest to have those elected to serve the country running amok.

Thank you for reading,

Albert Neurath
