Another EDEN rant before the elections.

Day 789, 02:44 Published in Canada Switzerland by HuCard

The invasion of the United Kingdom has begun. To be frank, I do not disapprove of it as much as I might have made it seem; the UK actually pose a threat in that they keep blocking everyone in their reckless manoeuvres, which can indeed only be stopped by finally teaching them a lesson about the consequences of attacking everything they share a border with.

What I do question is the means with which it was prepared. Germany did not really deserve being invaded by Poland and never posed a threat anyway, due to the country being too insecure and afraid to ever dare and attack its mighty neighbour. Neither did France present a danger after its breakup with Old PEACE/Phoenix (as can be seen in Hungary rejecting their MPP request a few weeks ago); it had become a neutral country and even if it was still hostile towards us it would have lacked the means and the backing of its former allies to be anything to be concerned about. But I have already repeated this sort of thing often enough, moving on...

Most of all I am puzzled by the timing. The Spanish invasion of France already began before EDEN's Asian campaign, but of what use it is to stomp through Germany, to activate Turkey's MPPs to make Greece's defence of itself and Israel much more difficult and expensive, and to push Bulgaria over to Phoenix igniting a hard-fought war in the Balkans when Heilongjiang is still in Hungary's hands and the Russians are relentlessly trying to penetrate deeper into China?
How can we afford attacking the pesky but ultimately harmless UK with multiple countries (Poland and Sweden so far, I assume more will join in later on) when Serbia is knocking on India's door (where on that note the USA have made themselves comfortable in Karnataka while slowly retreating out of China) and while China is trying to expel Russia from its territory?

However, whenever someone criticises EDEN's tactics the counter-argument remains always the same: Secret information. Nobody of the public is entitled to question the actions of the alliance since nobody outside of the chain of command knows of EDEN's fantastic strategies which are never revealed or even hinted at to anyone.
I am not demanding that EDEN's high command should run around and announce their plans everywhere, but I think that it is the right of every member state to at least be somewhat informed of what its alliance is doing. Canada, along with other EDEN countries, being degraded to a mere piece of coal to be burnt in a train whose direction remains unknown to anyone but a tiny group in the leadership is derogatory. Those who fight for a cause deserve to be informed of what this cause actually is, especially if it is nowhere near apparent and all EDEN does for months is goof around on European battlefields whose relevance and purpose is highly doubtful. (At least if you have not yet been enlightened about EDEN's flawless and brilliant master plan!)

Besides, a controlled flow of information could even be beneficial to the alliance's causes, as it might motivate more people to fight, silence dissenters such as myself, and improve its worldwide prestige by convincing unaligned countries or even some of its enemies that its motives are not as vile as they seem.
Which brings me yet again to another failing of EDEN, that of diplomacy. I would repeat myself if I complained about its ruthless treatment of neutral countries again. But further, I was told that EDEN "does not care about neutral countries". However, according to the leadership, France is not neutral because they once invaded North America months ago, before the relations between it and PEACE deteriorated regardless of how unaligned and harmless they might be today; similarly, due to Japan having granted passage to Indonesia last summer when both were still in the same alliance, and only after Indonesia threatened Japan's complete annexation if they were to refuse it is also viewed as hostile.

These positions are grave mistakes. Bashing everything in sight will only turn the world into one's enemy, and not one's ally. EDEN fails to see the importance of good relations and simply bulldozes over everything in and next to its path. From a purely militaristic point of view, why are countries which could serve as buffers between EDEN's lands and Phoenix's realm made to align themselves with the latter party due to the brutality of the former? Why does the alliance no even try to get neutral which could serve as shields or doorways in times of war to align with it and instead intimidates them, or worse? Why is every Phoenix moderate or even peaceful member treated like an enemy when with a bit of effort they might be brought over to our side?

The answers probably lie somewhere in the secret underground library where all the highly confident information on EDEN's workings and strategies is stored. Not that our unworthy minds would be able to grasp them in their overwhelming complexity and excellence anyway. ┐('~`;)┌
