Join the new world

I figured I might as well write about something until I get more subscriptions, and with my sudden arrival back from the dead, I figure I might as well write about myself for others to get an idea where I come from.

I honestly can't say that I really know Athanaric very well. Heck, I met him just earlier this week in an occurrence that ultimately put me on the path of the UIP. But maybe it's best to back up a little bit. That's right everybody. Time to hear my story as an eNoob.

About a year ago, I had just vistited real life Washington D.C., and the spontaneous joy of politics and leadership came from nowhere. I started catching up on real life politics, and developing my views on real life issues in the world today. Me joining this website was nothing but curiosity.

I was surfing the net one day, when I noticed the ad on the right hand side of the webpage. Not until I clicked on it, did I realize what I had stumbled across. I had created my account, and visited the old in-game chats to socialize with fellow eUSA members. In that chat room, I stumbled across many helpful people, one of those being Grant Johnson, who taught me the main mechanics of the game, and encouraged me to join the UIP to get an idea of eUSA politics. It was amazing to talk to him again with my return.

I quickly adapted to the game, but for some reason, I just couldn't keep up with politics. I needed some major help, and didn't know where to go, so I directed my attention to the UIP, where I found a link to register on the forum. Sadly, at that time, some big real life events went on, and I forgot all about my dream to make it in eUSA politics.

Matters got worse when eRepublik changed into the "New Generation" or something of the sorts. You had wellness AND happiness to worry about per day. ANd to make matters worse, everything was by-the-hour. Long story short, I didn't have enough money to get by day by day, and so I quit, but it doesn't send there.

Just about a week ago, I returnded for whatever reason, I revived my character, and say a message from Athanaric in my inbox, talking about registering for a job in the alliance. I talked briefly with Athanaric, and ended up getting the Deputy Chief of Staff position in the UIP. Today, I am reliving my goal to pursue a top eUSA government position. It wouldn't be possible without the help of so many helpful people. Thanks everybody!
