Announcing the ESOlympic Games!

Day 1,712, 17:26 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Elle Roslin

Welcome all to the inaugural ESOlympic games. Just like its real-life counterpart, here countries will compete for medals, status, and the everlasting gray-train of corporate sponsorship. So come and join in the fun, pick a country, and win prestige and free tanks!

A few candidate events currently awaiting IOC approval.

How it will work:

1. Entry to the Games

Want to play? There is only one requirement - you must be an ESO or Legion member to participate (note: you can be in a different party and still play so long as you're in Legion)

2. Pick a Country

Choose RL nation on which your fortunes will be tied. When they win medals, you win medals too! Only one exception: the top 5 nations expected to win medals (USA, China, Russia, UK, and Germany) are off-limits and will be assigned by luck of the draw to everyone who enters. Countries can be claimed simply my commenting on this article or messaging me. Of those that enter, I will draw 5 names and award them one of the top 5 nations I have listed above.

3. The Prizes

In addition to bragging rights, I will also provide the following rewards:

GOLD MEDAL
5 Q6 tanks

SILVER MEDAL
3 Q6 tanks

BRONZE MEDAL
1 Q6 tank

Bonus Prizes

For special achievements (i.e. new world record, one of those emotional sob-story achievements, etc.) I will also provide bonus mystery prizes of varying calibre (i.e. food, Q7 weapons). You never know what will happen in the ESOlympics!

Winning nation will also get 5 gold, with various prizes for the 2nd and 3d place finishers.

4. Prize Distribution

All prizes will be sent at the commencement of the games, excepting the special bonus prizes which will be doled out as events transpire.

So what are you waiting for? Come and own the ESOlympics podium! I hope to see a lot of ESOlympians taking part 🙂
