Announcements [Congress #3]
Aston Reynold
With the advent of the new, temporary government comes a number of attempts at fixing eJapan after the destruction wrought by Sugawara and his kind. For the most part, this is basically all Congress has been talking about the last few days.
Among the work we have to do, we have to get the economy back on track. There has been a proposal to print around 40,000 yen for government expenses, which is especially necessary after a lot of the money of the previous administrations 'magically disappeared' after e
😜resident Sugawara changed the passwords to a number of government organizations, preventing access to the money stored therein.
Additional steps are also being taken to defend against any further dangers to the economic situation, and our Ministries should be able to get back on track with the much-needed funds.
Second, major reforms are taking place for the Constitution under the auspices of myself and Geno. Basically, we're focusing on clearly defining areas of the Constitution so that it cannot be abused again. We want to make it abundantly clear that the Constitution defines what is truly 'righteous' for our nation so that no future president can simply reinterpret the Constitution for his/her own gain, or the gain of his/her personal allies/supporters.
Together with the Constitutional reform, there are discussions about reforming the entire organization of the government. A few want a unique type of government, returning to the interest garnered by the 'roleplay' crowd while still retaining the interest of the in-game-only crowd. I myself brought up two possibilities regarding a dual-presidency system that is still undergoing review. There are many benefits of this, with the only major downfall brought forward being that the plans are 'too cumbersome'.
As Congressmen, it should be our duty to work our hardest for the good of eJapan, regardless of how 'cumbersome' our work may be. Thus, I will ask that Congressmen please continue to review the proposal and bring up any negative aspects that need to be looked into and fixed.
Other discussions include preparations for possible training wars, which are a much-needed distraction for out in-game crowd. Thoughts have been brought forward about joining the South American TWs, but there is still debate going on about this.
With the national treasury gone, it will be exceedingly difficult to get into an expensive (by our standards now) set of war games. Hence, there is some discussion of MPPs that will likely get us some wars and, hopefully, some experience with it.
Shim: FFFFFUUUUUUUU--
Finally, there is some ongoing controversy over the recent presidential impeachment proposal brought forward by Shim Myeon-eun. The Congressman apparently has the intention of deposing TheReverendSeanV because he is a Dioist, and because he trolled the news media like Sugawara (although he didn't run off with the country's money like Suga).
Instead, Shim seems intent on letting an Indonesian get the presidency, and active, legitimate Congressmen are fighting the proposal while the Indonesian Congressmen are trying to vote it through so they can gain control.
Hopefully, we will see the end of these conflicts soon. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Propaganda. I ran off with no NBoJ funding. I never even had the NBoJ password. I am using only personal wealth to eat up the JPY market.
Is that so? My apologies. Whatever the case, you're the main reason for eJapan's economic woes at the moment.
Me thinks Sug is only speaking half truths.
Yeah. Even if it wasn't NBoJ funding he ran off with, there was still a lot of money in those other orgs, most likely. The same ones he changed the passwords to, basically.
The third place candidate of the last President election is not from Indonesia. Their friends are from Turkey and Japan.
But I know you wouldn't let facts get in the way of your fearmongering.
shim lacks balls.
Shim appears to be an expert in National Security.
/end sarcasm
Sugawara, you ran away with MoIA money which is definitely not yours.
@Shim: Just because they don't have friends from Indonesia in their friends list doesn't mean they're /not/ part of a PTO effort. I've already been told the final candidate was indeed part of an earlier PTO effort.

This is what is called "weasel words". Notice there is no source for this statement.
Why do you hate eJapan, Shim?
>This is what is called "weasel words". Notice there is no source for this statement.
You should follow your own advice, and get a source as to how they're not. If it looks like a snake and acts like a snake, ten out of ten it's a snake.

Voted, thanks for your efforts.
Thank you Courage.
Anyway, I agree with Nowe. It's better to assume the worst regardless, but if our Ministry of Security can prove without-a-doubt that that last candidate is /not/ an Indonesian PTOer, I will digress.
