The adaptation will be directed by Takaomi Kanasaki (Is This a Zombie?, School Rumble: 2nd Semester) at 8-Bit with series composition by Hideyuki Kurata (Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens, Oreimo, The World God Only Knows ). Katsuko Watanabe (The Everyday Tales of a Cat God, Place to Place, Juden Chan) will serve as character designer.

The school supernatural fantasy centers around Harutora, a boy from a branch of the Tsuchimikado family of onmyōdō occult practitioners. However, he lacks the ability to see spirit energy, so he is now just an ordinary high school student. Natsume, a girl who was Harutora's childhood friend and the next head of the Tsuchimikado family, reunites with Harutora and changes his future.

Schoolgirl Comedy Anime Love Lab's 1st TV Ad Aired

Cast highlighted from Ruri Miyahara's story of Fujisaki Girls' Middle School premiering in July

The first 15-second television commercial for the anime adaptation of Ruri Miyahara's four-panel Love Lab manga aired in Japan on Friday. The commercial lists the cast and reports that the anime will premiere this July.

The comedy manga revolves around the girls at the elite Fujisaki Girls' Middle School, which has tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted), meganekko (eyeglasses-wearing girl), and other kinds of students.

The cast are:

Manami Numakura (The IDOLM@STER) as Rico Kurahashi, the student council president's aide
Chinatsu Akasaki (Kill Me Baby) as Natsuo Maki, the student council president
Inori Minase (Occult Academy) as Suzune "Suzu" Tanahashi, the student council secretary
Ayane Sakura (Vividred Operation) as Yuiko "Eno" Enomoto, the student council vice-president
Yō Taichi (My Little Monster) as Sayori "Sayo" Mizushima, the student council treasurer

Masahiko Ohta (Yuruyuri, Mitsudomoe) will direct at the studio Dogakobo (Yuruyuri, GJ Club). Takashi Aoshima (Yuruyuri, Mitsudomoe) is in charge of the series scripts, and Chiaki Nakajima (Yuruyuri) will serve as character designer.

Miyahara launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Home magazine in 2006, and it later ran in other Houbunsha magazines before ending its main run in 2010.

Kami Imai's Needless Manga Ends in Japan

15 volumes of the series have been compiled since its premiere in 2004

The conclusion to Kami Imai's Needless manga will be published in the July issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine on June 19. The manga has been running in the magazine since 2004, and 15 volumes (and one prequel volume 0) have been compiled and published.

The action gag comedy with "bishōjo x violence" is set in 2130, when large swaths of Japan have been quarantined as polluted "Black Spots (BS)" in the aftermath of World War III. However, there are people who have settled behind the massive walls of the Black Spots, where they have developed mysterious powers. The city people on the outside have a label for the Black Spot people they have ostracize😛 "Needless."

The series was adapted into a 24-episode anime series in 2010. Sentai Filmworks released the anime in North America.

First Official "Kuroko's Basketball" Anime Event Announced

Titled "KuroBasu Cup", the event is planned on the birthday of one of the characters

The official Twitter account has confirmed that the event site for Kuroko's Basketball official event "KuroBasu Cup 2013" has been opened. Since the stage at Jump Festa last year was cancelled due to the still on-going threatening case, this will be the anime's first official event. (Note: There was an official KuroBasu radio show event in the past.) The event date is set on the birthday of one of the characters from the show.

Although not much detail is yet available at the current time, most of the voice actors from the show are listed for appearance.

The event will be at Maihama Amphitheater and the date is set on July 7th, which is also Tanabata and also the birthday for the Tsundere Megane 3 point shooter.
