Touhou 14 – “Double Dealing Character” Announced

Earlier this weekend, the 14th official game in the Touhou doujin series, entitled 「Touhou Kishinjou ~ Double Dealing Character」, was announced by developer ZUN. As usual, a demo will be released at the next Reitaisai event, (May 26th) — priced at 300 JPY. Reimu, Marisa, and Sakuya (surprisingly) are all confirmed to be playable. No word on when the full version will be available.

According to ZUN’s blog, a lot of the complicated game mechanics from previous installments were removed in order to create what he calls, “neither new nor retro, 2000s neo-retro danmaku shooter.”

The game’s screen resolution has the option to double in size from 640×480 to 1280×960.

On a side note, the full version of the 2D doujin fighter, 「Touhou 13.5 ~ Hopeless Masquerade」, will also be available at Reitaisai 10.

*Story:

The individual weapons of the three protagonists started acting odd, and meanwhile various youkai began to rebel. It’s their job to either take their weapons in hand and fight the youkai, or to cast their weapons aside.

Shonen Jump's Indoor Theme Park's Attractions Revealed

J-Park Tokyo offers Naruto/One Piece/Dragon Ball attractions, Chopper's Rumble Meatball Pasta, more

An official press release from Namco revealed the specs for the new J-World Tokyo indoor theme park on Monday. The Shonen Jump magazine-themed theme park will be on the third floor of the Sunshine City World Import Mart Building in Tokyo's Ikebukuro ward. Five main attractions are being prepared for the park's opening on July 11:

The theme park also has a “Heroes Arena,” which contains many mini attractions from the Gintama, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, Toriko, Bleach, and Hunter X Hunter manga and anime. More themed attractions from different series are scheduled to be announced at a later time.

The J-World Kitchen serves as the park's food court, and has over 30 different foods on the menu themed after Shonen Jump manga series and their characters. A "Cafe Mademoiselle" restaurant will feature all One Piece foods and desserts in the One Piece area.

A J-World store selling goods for the anime and manga will also be available, as well as an Amusement Arena arcade area.
J-World Store

Namco's Namja Town in Ikebukuro has been closed from January until summer for renovation. When it reopens, Namja Town will take up only the second floor of the Sunshine City World Import Mart Building, instead of the second and third floors. J-World Tokyo will be taking the third floor in its place. Namja Town is also slated for a campaign with the Corpse Party video game series when the park reopens this summer.
