Angrr for Kyushu / Dude, Where's my article?

Day 912, 18:07 Published in Japan Japan by Angrr

This is a congress presentation, but before I get onto that, I would like to express my sincere dissappointment that my previous article was deleted.

I do not believe that it was offensive in any way, merely raised several points that were perhaps a sore point for some people. For someone to report the article, and for it to be deleted by admin is sad.

That being said, it got enough attention and drew enough comments and discussion from the nation that it was not in vain - it served it's purpose.

These things happen, and we must go on.

This month, I have chosen to run for congress again in Kyushu - this time by the grace of Aogo and the Scorpion Clan. It is no secret that I oppose some of the decisions made in the previous month, and would like to rejoin congress to add my voice and opinion to the diet.
It seems that whenever I decide that there is no point in me being in congress, our diet makes a decision or takes a direction that I really cannot agree with - leaving me out in the cold and in no position to influence it.

Last month saw the second Korean war gain congress approval and become a reality. I seriously doubt that I could have stopped this had I been in congress, but I could certainly have made my voice heard and been a vocal opponent to the proposal - something eJapan seems to be lacking.
It seems to me that over the last 5-6 months, those who would stand up and raise their voice against the majority decision have been worn down and cut out from our congress.

As we adjust to the empire we have made here and learn to live with the repercussions of our acts, I feel that it is important for me to run once again as a candidate for the representative for Kyushu.

I have been around long enough that most voters know what they will get from me if elected - dedicated, selfless service to the nation and a willingness to stand up against popular opinion if I believe something not to be in eJapan's best interests, or just plain wrong.

Unlike many e-politicians, I put the needs of the country before my own - worrying not about my image or public perception, but about the immediate, medium-term and long-term ramifications of each proposal and decision in regard to our nation.

Residents of Kyushu, I ask for your support in the upcoming election.

Angrr
Party President, the Ronin.
