(Music is my promise kept to Blondeninja :3)
This is probably the part where I SHOULD release Part 2 of my cabinet, but if you’re paying attention, you already know it’s too late and would be pointless of me to do so. So I’m just gonna launch into this article straight off the bat.
Do or Do Not, There is No Try <- Rubbish this time
Normally, I’m a fan of that line from Yoda … it’s a great line. In this situation for me though, I feel it’s wrong.
I tried America … I failed after trying.
Now, I’ve already made these points in comments on Josh Whiteheads article in response to something I’ll talk about later on in this article.
I entered this election cycle knowing the odds were stacked against me. To go against one of my opponants would have been extremely tough, but to go against both of them at the same time, well, there was as much chance of me winning as there was winning the lottery.
Both of them have been around longer than me, they know the roads better so to speak. I was too green. I didn’t campaign as hard as I could/should of, because I didn’t know where the lines to not cross were … I didn’t know how far I could push before I pushed people too far and away from my campaign.
I lost steam … I saw I was losing, and as hard as I tried to keep faith and think to myself I might be able to come back, in the back of my head I knew I was looking at defeat. But I kept in the race. I know some people have questioned why I did that and why I didn’t just step aside, mainly pointing to the AMP Primary. The simples answers are thus – Pride for one, I wanted to prove that despite losing the other races, I could at least win my own parties vote. And I know my parties rules for 2 … I knew that even by winning the primary, I’d lose the unity and AMP’s runner up would win the endorsement … and there was no question in who the runner up was. It was a moot point.
There was also the conspiracy about me this month – That I was basically running to split John Jay’s vote and allow Inwegen an in, and that he gave me his Chief of Staff position to buy me.
1) – I don’t know how long JJ has been planning this, but I clearly stated that I had been thinking of this for months. What fewer know is that Cerb actually wanted ME to run last month instead of him … Know what I said? I told him I was determined to run in December, regardless. What does that say? It says pretty clearly that I was going to run in December no matter what.
2) – Inwegen’s running came as a surprise. I’d heard rumors, but rumors are just that until proven wrong or right. So I carried on with my plans regardless of it he was going to run or not.
3) – Inwegen didn’t offer me the position until late into the campaigning. There was never a bribe or hidden condition to his offer. Hell, to anyone else that might even of made them drop the race at the opportunity to be in the government.
So in short, there is NO conspiracy. Circumstance may look that way, but those that read them in the above way are looking at things cynically, which I can understand … from an outside perspective it does look terrible. But those who know me, know I don’t do underhanded deals, I don’t back down, and I don’t do things to spite one person over another.
A few shoutouts
First, I’d like to use this little bit to shout out the rest of the cabinet none of you got to see – Tenshibo for being my Sec State, Dr Heisenberg for being my Sec Interior, Exploration (EnterAwesome) for being my Sec Education, and Dokjon for being my Sec Media.
Ofc, thankyou also to the cabinet members I did announce – NewAzazel (I spelt your name as you like it man o/) for being my VP, you would have been brilliant man, I hope someone recognises that, Inwegen for being my Chief of Staff, Emdoublegee for being my NSC Director and BigCDizzle for being my Sec Defence.
And finally, to any one who voted for me in their primaries. I’m sorry that I couldn’t win this for you like you wanted me to. And AMP, thankyou for endorsing me and having faith in me … I may have let you down in this arena, but I promise I’ll always be in AMP to help safeguard the party I love so much.
This of course means that AMP’s Nomination will fall to the runner up – John Jay.
So where do I go from here?
Well, I’m certainly not going to fade away or hide and lick my wounds. Never been my style.
No, I’m gonna stick around, help those who ask for my help, carry on fostering relations with people … I’m going to carry on being me.
As for PotUS? … Maybe in a few months time, because –
Keep it chillin eAmerica!
