Introduction
The Hype surrounding ANCA's Third Round was big, prettymuch being the heavyweight decider on who would seperate between a Tied First and who would finally get their first win on the board. Before this round we had QLD and NSW without a loss previously now going head to head, and we had SA and VIC without a win vying to finally get on the board.

QLD v NSW Scorecard

NSW met QLD on a damp GABBA pitch. The packed out crowd was not deterred by the morning rain. Winning the toss, NSW decided to use the wet pitch to their advantage and bowl first. Arthur Cole and Banzai3141 opening for the Home team. In the second over, QLD's century maker last game, Athur Cole (5) got too eager in the 2nd over and slotted a ball into the air where Rosewater was positioned. After a quality innings last round, Larni Kaddlestorm looked very confident as her partner Banzai3141 and herself played some fine strokeplay against quality bowling from NSW. Making a glorious partnership of 144, Banzai3141 (77) was then clean bowled attempting to play around it. 5 runs later and Hinokai (0) would be run out while trying to make his first single.

Struggling with form atm after a brilliant first round. Interlax stayed in for a while and played responsibly with the overs he had left to use. Nearing her Maiden Century, Larni Kaddlestorm took a swing at a slow ball and edged it to Rodimus who was in Gulley. Dissapointed with herself but still put on a brave face as she walked off and the QLD Captain Mack Craft came on. Not destined to last, quick paceman Mark Sanchez removed the bails of Interlax (23). With 5 overs to go, Mack Craft (20 no) and Joseph Rich (13 no) put on a 35 run partnership before they both retired not out.

With only a minor change to the opening pair of NSW, the team looked very confident heading into this innings. Experienced Opener Super Christopher and an eager Arthinian applied bat to ball for a nice start. The early dismissal of Arthinian (16) by specialist fielder Widdows9000 sent a shock through the crowd and the changerooms. NSW sent out Captain Iwarrior. A slow start hindered the advance of NSW from there but Super Christopher remained sturdy while Iwarrior took his time to settle in. In the space of 23 overs, they made a 111 run partnership with Both players picking up their half centuries.

Super Christopher would then be caught by Larni Kaddlestorm as he attempted to shoot the ball over her. Rosewater and Iwarrior1 both showed the batting finesse that has gotten NSW this far in the season as they both outclassed the QLD bowlers. Nearing the end of the 42nd over. D J Brock managed to put Mr Rosewater (33) on the backfoot and feint and edge behind to Joseph Rich. Rodimus was happy to let his captain make most of the runs. Quickly making his maiden century, he made a roaring celebration before the overs ran out. Iwarrior (109 no) and Rodimus (3 no) retired.

Final Score

VIC v SA Scorecard

Both VIC and SA participated in a romantic group cuddle before their windy match began. Winning the toss, VIC decided to bowl first. The immediate pace of the VIC bowling kept the SuperChargers down to minimal runs for a few overs. The Opening pair of Schoft and Brenflakes steadied it out and batted through the new ball with ease as they began to apply pressure to the Victorian side. Schoft (25) was the first to go as he played a fine driving shot but an even greater catch from Binda33 stole the moment. The early losses of Dark Vorodor (5) and Maggot Master (4) put SA on the tightrope. Victoria Taking advantage of the pressure, Brenflakes (37) also joined his previous partners in the changeroom when he hit the ball straight back to bowler Swiffer_m. Calbe and Darth Spader were left to try and salvage the game for SA. Primal instinct kicked in and both batsmen raced past 80 runs in the partnership.

Nearing his 50, Calbe (41) smashed a ball towards the grandstand but strong winds forced it down to Mitch Johnstone. Etheodoria Vulpine took a look around the pitch when she got there and immediatley was on the front foot having a swing at everything. A small cheer for Darth Spader (64) after making his half-century would be his undoing as he relaxed too much and lazily played an aerial shot which Greenlamp was happy to pounce on. Etheodoria Vulpine (20 no) finished off the rest of the match but not beforeZaney (1 no)sneaked in a single.

Victoria's Opening runs came much quicker compared to SA's with Mitch Johnstone not afraid to have a big swing with the bat. It wasnt until the opening partnership was at 69 runs did some luck go SA's way as the swing bowling of Zaney lured Mitch Johnstone (31) into a wide edge and the capable hands of Phor Cillic. A comfortable cheer from the crowd and a lone wolf whistle from an excited crowd member greeted Binda33 as she made her way onto a brilliant innings. A sturdy partnership of 92 forged from misfields and 2 dropped catches put Victoria within hands reach of their first victory.

It would be Zaney again he proved adamant on bringing his team back into it as some reverse swing slapped Lews Telamons's (81) cricket pads and pride. Out LBW. Shortly after, the SA Captain Coppr struck with an unconvincing, yet nethertheless LBW against Binda (42). Slowing the run rate down, Jade Anon and Peter Wilkons dedicated their concentration to chasing down the 30 runs needed for sweet sweet glory. Coppr would strike again before the innings was over as Victoria struggled yet again to play defensively around their legs. Peter Wilkon (21) out LBW. With 6 overs to spare, Victoria chased down the score and made the homecrowd proud. Jade Anon (20 no) and Snayke (8 no) finished off the innings wisely with wickets in hand.

Conclusion

The Deciding Round was well waited but alas NSW still shows that it is supreme. Nobody has managed to get past their front order YET. Who will be the first to beat the Immortal Knights? Congratulations to Victoria who got their first win. Now everyone is waiting to see if they can follow up with another. SA are still yet to get a win but hopefully things change shortly in their favour. I would like to take this time to thank Jade Anon and Widdows9000 who have taken up administrator positions within the organisation. It will be a great help and hopefully they dont discover my deep dark secret. That Aside, the main ANCA document has recieved some upgrades and now also includes a Records section where you can see records that have been made/broken by members of the sporting body.ANCA's Fourth Round is on next week and will be the first of many Grudge Matches to come so stay tuned for what will most likely be a bloody and violent matchup. Sincerely
