Introduction
ANCA's first grudgematch round equalled and in some cases surpassed peoples expectations of it. South Australia got their first win after a hard fought match against Queensland at the GABBA and the Albuera VIC Venom fell short against the Down Under NSW Knights in their run chase at the SCG.

QLD v SA Scorecard
Victoria won the toss and decided to bowl first. QLD openers Arthur Cole and Banzai3141 had a hard time starting up as strong bowling from Crusader Carl made them think twice about alot of shots. Strong coordination between the two batsmen mustered up a good partnership before an almost LBW put Arthur Cole (3😎 on edge and the next ball a confused shot allowed Brenflakes an easy catch. Larni Kaddlestorm came in with a vengeance and was quick to up the ante with her partner. Putting on a partnership of 25. Effort bowling from Crusader Carl finally paid off as he then grabbed the wicket of Banzai3141 (35) for LBW. Hinokai (4) was next in but like his last 2 matches was dismissed early by Crusader Carl as he was yet again unable to repeat his excellent first round performance.

Interlax went in to bat quite confidently as he played some exotic shots on his way to a great innings. A war of the words soon erupted between himself and Coppr as the game went on with Larni Kaddlestorm having to turn Riot Control on many occasions. Dropped on an easy catch by Phor Cillic while on 43, Interlax made the most of his lifeline. Interlax (74) soon overstayed his visit and would have to make his way back to the changeroom as he attempted to have a slash at a shortball from Zaney. Getting caught by Darth Spader in the process. With one over to go, Larni Kaddlestorm needed 6 runs to make her maiden century. Mack Craft facing 4 of those and Larni only managing to get 1 run off her 2 ment this was not to be. Larni Kaddlestorm (97 no) retired and so did captain Mack Craft (6 no).

After an exclusive weekend holiday in New Zealand. Schoft and Brenflakes were fresh and very keen to make a strong partnership. With great strokeplay and some ferocity in their shots, the QLD bowlers were powerless to stop the onslaught. After a record 130 run opening partnership and both players making their 50's, Brenflakes (65) misjudged the dry bounce of the pitch and pushed a ball out to Banzai3141 who took it cleanly. Dark Vorodor hung around for a bit as he contributed with Schoft to put on a show for the crowd. Caught by QLD captain Mack Craft, Dark Vorodor (34) was out with a poor lapse of shot judgement. MaggotMaster came out as if it was a 20/20 and was quick to punish anyone that bowled it short or wide.

Unfortunately, as Larni Kaddlestorm had her heartbreak, so too was Schoft to have his. Orthodox bowling from Widdows9000 got his first wicket of the season as Schoft (97) attempted to play a simple shot but a thick edge turned it into a nightmare. Joseph Rich took a great catch behind the stumps. Calbe (24 no) and Maggot Master (35 no) put on a strong finish and chased down the remainder of the runs in the last over. A proud and roaring cheer greeted the exuberant pair from the crowd and teamroom as SA got their first win of the season and Coppr shouted drinks for all.

NSW v VIC Scorecard
Confident from their last win. VIC decided to bowl first against the favourites. The Choice looked like it payed off as Mr Rosewater (5) was dismissed early on for a minor total by great bowling from Snayke. Enter Iwarrior1 who was confident after his century stand last round. Besides a couple of close calls and Super Christopher being forced to the ground by a few short ones. The pair looked immune from the bowling of Victoria. After an 118 run partnership, NSW had VIC sweating a river until Peter Wilkon managed to dismiss Iwarrior1 (49) short of his 50. Shortly After, Super Christopher (70) was completely decieved by the bowling of Swiffer_m and was out LBW. Arthinian and Rodimus combined bats and stuck in through the rest of the innings. Hitting his 50 before the end. Arthinian (54 no) was very eager to get some high scores back on the board. Rodimus (29 no) also retired and had a going away present as he was smacked in the back when turning around on a ball.

Straight from the start the NSW attack were bowling dangerous. Intent on cutting VIC down early. A darting bouncer at Mitch Johnstone (0) forced him to hit it away from a possible hospital visit and into Iwarrior1. Showing obvious signs of anger, he was quite happy to throw his bat through a window as he made his way back to his locker. Content with allowing the bowlers to do all the work. Binda33 and Lews Therin used the pace of the ball many times to angle it around the oval with minimum effort. Just as she was getting into her zone, Binda33 (21) was dealt a harsh blow as she allowed a ball to glance her pad but was gaven LBW even thoe the ball was going nowhere near the wickets. Jade Anon decided to hang around for a while and played some amazing shots on his way to a resilient innings.

Unfortunately he took a swing to many and Jade Anon was caught out by Rougeman while attempting to lob the ball over mid-wicket. The run rate went into full stop as Lews Telamon and Peter Wilkon found it near impossible to get any runs out. With multiple bruising appearing on his body, Peter Wilkon (1) was then plumply dismissed for LBW. An over after and the collapse began to show as Snayke (0) was sent packing aswell. When Swiffer_m came on to bat it was straightaway obvious something was going to go wrong. The suspicions were confirmed when Rogueman connected a spear of a ball into Swiffer_m, (1) and dropped him fast. Outrage burst out in all directions and soon a brawl had broken out between the two teams that would even put rugby's Origin matches to shame. Crowd members and even the NSW Mascot had joined in by the time Police were forced to seperate all parties and halt the game. The unluckiest of those injured was Snayke who was taken to hospital unconscious.

After a while the umpires deemed play to continue and both teams resumed. Soon after they began. Things looked dire as Lews Therin (104) was dismissed as he attempted to cup a ball, leaving Patti11 (21 no) and Sir_Terrifico (14 no) to finish up the chase. Unfortunately strong bowling and lack of batting experience let down the pair and they were forced to retire not out, 17 runs short.

Conclusion
ANCA's first grudge match was concluded with less broken arms then expected and only increased the hype for the next grudge round. Snayke has unfortunately been ruled out for the rest of the season with a Coma and Police are currently investigating who was the culprit that put him down. In his place Dylan of the Darkness has been recruited and will make his debut next round. ANCA is also very happy to announce that its prizepool now stands just short of 2000 AUD (40 GOLD!).

We would like to take this time again to thank our sponsors (Down Under Holdings) and (Albuera Corp) who between myself and their sponsorship payment have made that prize so juicy. For all those unkown of it so far. At the end of the season, the Team Awards and Player Awards will be handed out. After that a Short Test Series will be held before a break until the next ANCA season. Just like last time, thankyou for reading and enjoy. Please excuse the lateness of this article. RL is catching up and im afraid it will probably only get worse. Wish me luck in my B Grade Cricket Match Tommorow guys 😛
