An open letter to all eCanadian Party Presidents.
Dear eCanadian Party Presidents,
I'll admit, on my last recruitment article for Clan Wolf, I was asked what we stood for, and I was stumped.
On the one hand, I knew what Clan Wolf was, but who we were is no longer relevant. Times have changed, the political module has changed, the players are different and identities have been forgotten. There is a simple truth that rises above everything:
I asked our members. I asked them what we stand for. I just asked them this one question, and the members answered in force. They took the past into consideration. They thought about the present. They pondered our relevance. I asked one question, and the Wolves answered in force.
And so, I would like to tell you what it is we stand for.
A libertarian, democratic approach to eCanadian politics. Only in these scenarios are all opinions listened to, appreciated and enacted on. I like to preserve faith that those who participate openly and respectfully have the opportunity to listen and learn, as well as be heard as equals among their peers. It's also more fun.

We have consistently supported players, both new and old. A lot of parties can claim that, but we do walk the talk. We give people opportunities that they may not have in other parties, because the other party's groups are all ready established and there really isn't an opening for new people. So we promote our PPs (any time someone has run for PP, I stand down. I've been PP, and if someone else wants a shot, then I make room). When we were in the top 5, we put forth new players to Congress.

Cyber ninja's articles have been good to give a quick summary of important events, especially with what goes on with Congress. It'd be great if Clan Wolf could somehow support initiatives like this. Seems like some of AFK's gains are eroding away or at least somewhat forgotten. This is just my opinion and personal interest, yet I think Clan Wolf would do well to keep transparency and increased communication as part of its values. The most active serious players know what's going on and keep themselves informed and should be often reminded that there are others relying on their communication to make informed decisions when voting or knowing which party to get behind.

I think CW is standing for the right things, and it is a matter of communicating the equal, representative and relatively anti-meta stance of the party to eCanada and why those are good things as opposed to CPF, MDP, or xyz (or whoever it is these days).
You might be asking yourself why this matters.
These guidelines and principles are what will direct the policies enacted by Clan Wolf. We have spoken our side, and made it known to the eCanadian public. This is important because beforehand, none of us could answer the question. It is important because I wouldn't be able to tell you what any other of the parties in eCanada stand for.
Therefore, I would like to invite all Canadian party presidents to release an article, linking it below, asking the question "What do we stand for?" to all their members, and releasing their responses to the eCanadian public.

Good article.
Growing any political party in this less then active environment is a challenge (unless you are Rylde with your cult following, then all you have to do is twitch your pinky finger ever so slightly and droves of people flock to you). I enjoy seeing Clan Wolf continue to take up the challenge to participate in the political module of this game. When apathy and inactivity is our greatest adversary, some times the will to not give up is your strongest weapon.
I may twitch that pinky in public to the dregs but I do a lot behind the scenes to keep that support earned.
Rylde made me drink koolaid and now my stomach hurts and I am dizzy.
Just count yourself lucky you didn't drink Tem's punch.

What a load of flowery hippie nonsense. You don't know what your party stands for, so you have to ask the other members? Why are you running for PP then? You are the president - you need to make the decision and inform your people.
Why not just rename your "libertarian, democratic" party "Woodstock 2015" and tell your members to let their freak flags fly?

I knew this going into the election. As all party presidents should.
Times change. Parties change. The world changes. Hippies burn out of existence. Aliens take over the earth. So on.
Nice initiative. It's good to see your party trying to identify itself politically. I only see three problems.
1. You don't really say much. You're pro-me player inclusion, transparency, equality and perhaps somewhat anti-forum. Is that enough to centre a party around? Maybe today it is.
2. Still, other than the MDP, that's more or less the stage of every single party that's ever tried to define itself. True, part manifestos and tenets may no longer be valid or legitimate but these are hardly original claims. Not that they need to be, it's just that it raises the question that if these are your goals, why but him other preexisting/top-5 parties with the same goals? Mann's Imperial Party manifesto covers much of the same ground and even Rylde said he wouldn't be running the whorehouse as a dictator.
3. You don't propose much to accomplish these goals nor do I belief l believe that I've seen much from you to live up to them. But I also might not be parting much attention.
You're Congressmen are fairly active but they haven't done too much to fight for transparency, newbs or the forums thus far. So are these simply ideals or are they going to coalesce into a cohesive platform?
3. The ability to act on these goals is directly related to how many members we have. We will never be in a position to do much if we don't have the infuence. Right now, the cohesive platform is this: gain members.
Only then can we turn the ideals into actions.
I still don't see why you feel that we need another party for this. Since most parties say the same thing, why not join forces? Re-form the Imperial Wolves and then you'll have your numbers.
Also, if you came up with something concrete, that could help you get new members.
1. I think so. We're encouraging any player (of all parties) to get involved and to bring out the iniciative. Azarius commemorated Cyber Ninja's update party, and I also encourage him to keep going on that.
2. The fact that they aren't original are irrelevant. The fact that we hold to those principles at any given time are. The political module of the game has shifted politics towards the same platform: keep people interested and playing. I would argue though, that we do provide a different atmosphere than most other parties. I know that Clan Wolf hasn't lost the AFK party atmosphere at all, yet we still hold active members. The fact that that attitude still exists despite our activity record is amazing in it of itself.
I think every party try to do his best for both members and Canada. Nice initiative Hotelier. Good luck for your next step on Political Muppets Show.
