An Interview With the CJCS

Day 1,787, 11:14 Published in USA USA by seeker1

I was fortunate enough to grab a few minutes with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Of Staff (CJCS), Cyber Witch. She was good enough to answer a few questions for me.

Question: You have reached one of the pinnacles of a military career. Could you tell us a bit about how you got there?

Cyber Witch: I started as a wee sprout in the eSATD (eSouth African Training Division). I followed orders, and worked my way up to Commanding Officer there. I then followed the eSA right of passage and joined the Airborne as soon as I met reqs. (Although I did sneak in to their channel before then) From there I worked my way up to DCO and then to CO, taking over for retiring General Channing on April 5, 2011. I helped out wherever I could, and was named Vice Chairman on August 8, 2011, and took over as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from Bradley Reala on September 6th of the same year. I finally retired as Airborne CO on November 27th.

Question: What interesting things did you experience during your time in the AB?

Cyber Witch: There were so many interesting things in Airborne. From getting kicked out of the channel when General Max needed to talk to his troops (I wasn't quite a member back then), to being part of what was affectionately referred to as the Estrogen Brigade. Taking over command when we decided to go independant was the biggest challenge I undertook. Finding ways to supply my people with no funding. Without my Quartermaster Tronyx’ help, that would have seemed an unattainable feat. Being part of the most diverse Branch at the time, I learned about many cultures from real people who lived there. (How many Branches do you know that have a Sheepshagger?) Then of course there were the BBQs, the family atmosphere, and a feeling of welcome.

Question: Anyone who has been around for several months is aware of some tension between the eUS Military and the Government. Could you tell us how you evaluate that relationship.

Cyber Witch: Everyone would get along just fine if people would quit trying to fix what isn’t broke.

Question: What is your vision for the eUS Military. What would you hope or expect it to look like when you retire?

Cyber Witch: When I retire I expect this military to be ready to move into the future We have a great community here, and are always looking for new people to join us. Our family-like atmosphere is what brings new people in, and brings old members back. I don’t think we’re the best. I KNOW we are.

Thank you Cyber Witch!

If you have reached Division 3 or 4 and are able to be very active in terms of time on IRC and time spent fighting, you are a perfect candidate for the AB. Fill out our application if you want to join us.

Not enough experience yet? Apply to the Training Corps.
