An eFairy tale of sorts

Day 2,700, 02:47 Published in USA USA by MaryamQ

Once upon a time, a soldier from a small eCountry was stationed in the eUS for bonuses. She decided to join SFP because it was home to Phoenix Quinn and other writers she admired, and because its political position appealed to her. She was kindly welcomed and met some great people, but duty soon called her away, and although those people were remembered fondly, she soon lost regular contact with most of them. One, however, a soldier in his own right, would stop to chat with her from time to time, and they became friends regardless of the different circles they played in.

She continued to build ties in distant lands as he gained stature and respect in his own, but occasionally this friend would invite her to return, and although she did not accept his invitations because she had other commitments and was loyal, his appearances nearly always made her smile, and she welcomed the chances to catch up.

Then came a day when these soldiers no longer found much to smile about. The game had changed. Friends who had made eLife fun no longer played, or had faded into the shadows. The lady was near eDeath, but had agreed to a bit of silliness with some of her old friends, when the gentleman (who is truly a gentle man) decided to invite her once more, and that changed everything. This time she accepted, and since some of her friends were also feeling lost where they were, they decided to come along.

After years of friendship, suddenly she realized how truly special he was. Not only did he help her to settle into her new eHome, but he helped her friends, too. They chatted more and more, sometimes for hours, although it seemed like only minutes. Each made the other smile, no matter how rotten things had seemed when they were apart. There was always something new to talk about, something to laugh about together, viewpoints to be compared, confidences to be shared. After a couple of unfortunate incidents involving tents, differing opinions on decorating schemes, and matches, they began to build an eHome together.

It had become clear that they wanted to spend their eLives side by side. He eProposed, and she accepted. Their long friendship has blossomed into eLove, and they wish to share their happiness with all their friends.

So it is that TheNorm and I would like to invite all of our friends to celebrate our eWedding with us on IRC, at #eWedding, on Sunday, 12 Apr (day 2700) at approximately 12:30 pm eRep time (UTC -8 ). This will be preceded by a mass attack, location to be announced.

Rumor has it that Gnilraps can make eWeddings…interesting.
