An Argument for Virginia - Dmalicious for Congress

Day 580, 19:03 Published in USA USA by Dmalicious

By now I'm hoping all of the citizens of Virginia know my name - I know that many of my colleagues in congress do and I'd like to open this article by thanking the members of the 18th Congress for acting as, quite possibly, one of the most professional congresses the eUSA has ever had. I've had a great time working with everyone and it's been an incredibly fun experience as Virginia's senator.

Now that the introduction is through, I'd like to be able to talk frankly with the people of Virginia. I'd like to explain to them what their decision on May 25th meant and why they should vote me in for a second term on June 25th. And overall, I want to know how they've been represented and how both Virginia and the eUSA has grown in the last month.

Biography

Who is Dmalicious?
He is ranked 524th in the eUSA.
He is an extremely active voice in both the USWP and eUSA Forums
He is the holder of 4 hard workers medals and 1 super soldier medal
He is CEO of General Resources
He is the current Chairman of the American Health Foundation
He is the American ambassador to China and North Korea
He is the author of the eUSA FAQ's
He is the incumbent senator from Virginia

I came to this game four months ago as a two-clicking noob. Originally a citizen of New Jersey, I worked and educated myself on the eUSA political and economic system until I felt confident to run for congress in the March elections in Arizona. I lost to General istarlan, but I learned a valuable lesson in patience that would serve me well later on.

I later moved to Virginia hoping to pick up the open seat left behind by disgraced former senator Navy II in the April elections. I lost to sabotage75, but had a strong showing in the polls on election day. The next month, you, the people of Virginia elected me to represent you in congress.

So, with your trust in me, what have I done?

Congressional Accomplishments

Congress is tough, I'll be the first to admit that, but it is also extremely fun. In this last month, I have done a lot to represent Virginia and the eUSA as a responsible senator. Some of my actions include:

* Not proposing any Lulz proposals and proposing two in-game laws crucical to eUSA economics
* Keeping my campaign promises of regularly scheduled voting records and voter input on issues
* Co-founding the American Health Foundation with senators Cerb (USWP - NY) and Thomas. Anderson (USWP - CA)
* Forwarding Virginia's general opinion on issues relating to foreign policy to infrastructure
* Initially I joined the Congressional Infrastructure Committee, but was later a key individual in the restructuring of congress and the creation of the Foreign Relations Advisory Committee, of which I now serve.
* I've worked with the Government Oversight Committee to declassify pages of threads and text on the eUSA Forums

Why You should Vote USWP and Vote Dmalicious on June 25th

When the facts become clear and all the rhetoric of the campaign wears off, I think you - the citizens of Virginia will be able to clearly decide for yourselves who you want to vote for. Just remember that your decision shouldn't be made on arbitrary "credentials" such as party-line endorsements or populist pandering, but should be spent looking over the facts and voting for the most qualified individual - this applies for all candidates in all states and all countries, and I sincerely hope that the 19th Congress will continue to build on the improvements the 18th Congress has made.

However, if there's one thing I absolutely know for a fact, it's that I have never broken my word to the people of Virginia. So I'm asking the citizens of Virginia to turn out in record numbers once again and send me back to congress. It may not be West Virginia, but it sure is the place I belong.**

Vote USWP. Vote Dmalicious. Vote for a Common Voice in Congress!

Sincerely,
Your senator,
Dmalicious
