An Apology to Congress

Day 798, 10:33 Published in Ireland Switzerland by pdiddy

To all Congressman,

I just want to issue an apology to those of you I may have argued with or seemed to have issues with during my 11th term. Real life has taken a toll on my time that I can spend on eRepublik and on my character. I realize that this put a very negative light on me.

Arguing with my fellow congressman is one of the last things I like to do, many of you know that I am a person that likes to unite the parties and work with my fellow congressman and not against. I am against partisanship and its affect on politics. While this did not show in my last term, it is true.

One of the biggest issues and most recent was the issuing of proposals just for the hell of it. I understand the point of view of the side claiming it gives people experience points. It makes sense, a lot of sense. Personally I still feel it shows a lack of respect for the position of congressman that you have, but I know many of you and you are good congressman and I know you have respect for your position. I have so much respect for some of you that I will be willing to compromise. If any of you wish to write a bill that sets aside the last few days of congress terms for fake proposals for experience points then I would support it as long as it has some guidelines.

With that said I hope you accept my apology.

This term let’s set aside partisanship and work for a better congress and a better Ireland. We have a lot of work to do in this changing world. Let’s work quickly, but efficiently, together as a united Ireland.

Also this term I hope to be more involved. I realize my last term was very quiet for me, something normally very unheard of. If you ever have any issues or want help, please send me a message. I am always here to help fellow congressman on bills or proposals in order to better Ireland.

While this whole apology letter could have been posted just in the private Dail I feel as an act of transparency and just for the general populace to see it, this should be posted in our national news. The decisions elected officials make affect everyone and the population have a right to know what is going on in congress.

Éireann go Brách

Thank you,

pdiddy
