An Annoying Reminder

Day 669, 03:53 Published in USA USA by Elderon Zakath

I'll get around to actually writing up some meaningful articles that expresses who I am, what I do, and how I do things, but until then I'll stick to reminding folks on some things.

>First of all, don't forget your Wellness. Keep it up, high 90+, by participating in battles. Please read the DoD Newspaper and fight where you are ordered to do so.

Here's the link: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/dod-orders-day-668-22-30-erep-defend-colorado-don-t-fight-in-nebraska--944650/1/20, subscribe to it.

Read my past articles to figure out how to properly fight, or send me a PM personally.

>Second, jobs. WATCH WHERE YOU APPLY. There are job traps out there. These traps are intended to kill the interest of potential newbies in the country, they are also out there to literally kill your citizen as well.

How do you tell if a job is a trap?

>High Wages - Everybody loves to be paid alot of money. So it's easy to sucker some unaware player by offering a high paying job, but they're not really being paid, why? Read on.

>No Materials - In order to be paid, you have to literally work. In order to work, the company MUST have the money to pay you and have the materials for you to produce something. If neither of these are met, then you cannot work, therefore you get no money.

>No Money - You cannot check to see if a company has money in it, but when you click Work and it says "Company does not have the funds to pay you" or "Company does not have the materials for you to produce", or something of that sort - it means, you're screwed.

Now if a job cannot pay you, or if you cannot work, you can resign from that job. Take a look through all the job offers, you may want to look at Page 2 and beyond. Sure, they may be low paying jobs, but they will allow you to get your skill up. More skill = better jobs in the future = better wages = happy time, right? Right.

By the way, if you're new to the game, stick to 1 star ( Quality ) jobs. Each "quality" point takes a Wellness point away ( Q5 takes 5 Wellness away when you work ).

>Finally, Third - Fight with Q1 Weapons if you are at STR 4. If you're below STR 4, save your money. Q1 weapons are basically the most cost efficient weapons for you. Do not waste your money on Q2 or above weapons. Not until you are STR 7. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Why fight with weapons when you can just fight barefisted? Well, you see that rank on your profile, where it says Private? That goes up everytime you reach a threshold of experience from fighting. Everytime you rank up, you get a percentage bonus to your damage. Basically, you hit harder. Q1 Weapons increases your damage from Barefists by alot ( I believe it's 200% if I recall correctly ).

Now you're thinking, well, a Q5 Weapon would be 5x better than a Q1 right? Technically, but it's percentage based and Q5 Weapons are very expensive. So you want the best cost efficient way of fighting without burning a hole in your pocket until you're STR 7 or above ( Hopefully by then you'll have lots of money from gold and working - Get those Hard Worker medals! ).

So, Q1 Weapons are the way to go. Fighting Barefisted is alright, especially if you're just looking for ways to get your Wellness up.

Just remember, you can only use Hospitals once a day ( Move to Florida if you haven't, or to a allied countries Q5 Hospital ).

With that being done, be sure to read past articles of mine or PM me if you have any questions. I have no problem helping newbies or even experienced folks. If I cannot help you, I can surely direct you to someone who can.

Brief introduce of who I am - I'm a gamer, and I like to get stuff done. I hate slacking around on important things, even in games. In short, sometimes I do take things seriously but only when it's neccessary.

What I do - I criticize, analyze, and speculate on "what ifs" mostly. I offer people different perspectives to their decision making ( Particularly those who are in those positions to make decisions ). I also like to educate people as well, as you can tell here with my articles. So please, feel free to hit me up with a PM if you have questions regarding anything ( Like why the sky is blue ).

With that said, please vote this up and subscribe if you like it. Two easy clicks. One in the top right, the other at the top left. Atleast then you can say you went from being a 2-clicker to a 4-clicker. 😉

Also, please please, pay attention to the DoD http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/dod-orders-day-668-22-30-erep-defend-colorado-don-t-fight-in-nebraska--944650/1/20. I know it's not updated all the time, but it'll atleast offer a direction for you to take. If it becomes outdated, but there are still battles going on, use your best judgement call.

Every point of damage counts. Do not waste them.
