An Alliance Referendum

Currently, on the forums, there is a Congress debate on whether we should join the One Alliance. I do not support debating such an important decision only in the Congress.
The choice of alliance is far too important for just a few people to decide. If I am nominated as the Presidential candidate, I will instead delegate the choice of alliance to the people through a national referendum on the issue. I will be publishing the structure later today.
If I am nominated, I will be speaking with President Domi1995 the day the results are announced to see about holding the referendum during his Presidency. It would most likely be held the week of the Presidential election.

Proponents and opponents of each alliance will have the opportunity to make their case for the alliance of their preference in the media through articles. Each citizen is free to take their own stance on the issues.

Dear joc_g,my understanding of the ambassador's role is that they are active in the media and in communicating with the country's leaders and citizens. I hope this is not a request for ambassadors to leave 😛
