AMP wants lower taxes!
Hazelrah
This is an important Congress election.
This Congress will likely determine the attitude our country chooses to take towards taxes and government funding moving forward.
You have seen plenty of propaganda by the Black Sheep Party and the Federalist Party claiming anything other than an immediate decrease in work tax is unacceptable and taxpayer theft.
They have stated unequivocally that a vote for the BSP or Feds is a vote for a work tax decrease. No discussion, no research, no thought. They are just in it to push one button to lower the tax and then will consider their jobs done.
The American Military Party doesn't work this way.
We all want lower taxes. However, our senators aren't going into this term with their minds made up.
We simply want a responsible decrease.
We don't promise to immediately lower the work tax.
We also don't plan on voting against any and all proposals to decrease the tax.
We absolutely don't plan on raising any taxes.
What we plan to do, and what I have already done, is make responsible decisions about the future of this great nation based on research, facts, and intelligent discussion.
The American Military Party would love nothing more than to be able to lower the work tax and put money back in the hands of its businessmen and military units. What we won't do, however, is make brash, irresponsible decisions based on insufficient information or trendy populist sentiment.
If you've made up your mind, have all the facts, and just want your money, you know how to vote. If you want your representatives to work hard, do the math, have detailed discussions, and plan for the long term success of the nation and our collective militaries, then vote for the American Military Party.
Sincerely,
Comments

Aside from a couple (maybe just one) of AMP Congressmen, the AMP voted unanimously for Higher Tax.
$$$ Feel the TAX! $$$
AMP is full of hard working and dedicated people who will do what ever is in the best interest of the USA. They don't make stupid promises. They don't make ultimatums. They get things done for America.
Lmao, the May not make stupid promises but they certainly will tell lies to get votes. Look at the title of this article it is there as a flat out lie to get readers and votes, nothing more. If that title was truth we would see that in the body of the article but we don't.
Just because we voted against it last month doesn't mean we won't change our minds with new information and a better case made for the benefits of lower taxes. That was the whole point of this article.
Just because the way AMP wants to lower taxes isn't the way you want to doesn't make the title misleading. It just wasn't what you thought it would be.
Isn't that what misleading is? Honestly though this article is ironic. I came here expecting to find out that AMP was going to lower taxes only to learn the exact opposite.

2 cheers for lower taxes! 3 cheers for populist sentiment! See you there.

Why is it that AMP Members vote against it, until The eUS starts to buck back, now suddenly, AMP is backpedalling... not cool man, not cool.
No one is backpedaling. If you've followed the conversation it has always been about doing it the right way, in the right time, with the right information. That's what we're looking for this month. I'll vote against it again if we can't afford it as a nation, but it's all about having the complete picture and thinking about the long-game.
And yes, it's the right time this month. Populist sentiment says so!
Davi😛 You should already have all the information you need. You should have had all the discussions already, though there is nothing wrong to obtaining further updates since things change day to day. I can understand how you wouldn't have the information you need if you only started taking this seriously yesterday instead of sayyyy.....January, February, March, April, May. A party doesn't have to wait for the night before the election to start thinking or getting the complete picture. "Trust us, we didn't do any preparation" isn't much of a platform. Worked for Rob Ford though, so you never know.
Information that we don't have and haven't had in months:
How much we would need to spend in COs to keep from being wiped?
How long we could afford to deficit spend during invasion before running out of money?
What the reserves of our adversaries look like that we would be competing with?
Exactly how much do we want to save to feel prepared?
How long do we think that amount would last us?
There are even more questions from others. You have all this information? If so, please enlighten us.
My guess is you only think you have all the information because you have no idea what goes into running a country effectively in this game.
People have been providing answers to those questions for months. A political party, interested in the tax issue, could obtain all the information necessary to form an opinion and a platform.
It could have found out long ago the actual amount of the reserve and tracked it instead of settling for "we reached 10 million months ago, then we spent some then we replenished and we are over 10 million now but not saying how much". It could have considered the varying opinions and the actual experience of CO spending. It could have have paid attention to the differing views about all these questions, looked at the concrete experience and accomplished the difficult task of taking a position justified by evidence and experience.
It could also have published and sought input from the community.
I don't much blame your party for its openness nor its desire to obtain information. Other parties may take a strong position but justifications such as "your a sociopath if you don't agree with me" tend to be unsatisfying. Carry on and kind regards.
Also, things only recently changed because we reached 10 million and suddenly everyone decided that was enough. I don't know why everyone is so dead set on that number because if you look at the original conversation, it was just thrown out randomly.

lolz at AMP pretend populism.
Being thoughtful and responsible should be populist.

"We all want lower taxes.*"
*Except when it comes down to a vote.
So if you vote one way once for a single set of reasons one month, you are forever tied to that vote even when the conversation and reasoning are completely different?
I guess I could generalize and say all BSP and Feds are against raising taxes ever regardless of circumstances and will always vote in favor of decreasing taxes regardless of the amount proposed.
Obviously that's ludicrous.
No Discussion? What do you mean No Discussion?
Congress had a very lengthy Discussion about the Work Tax this term before we Voted on it. The Discussion included figures & opinions presented by the Sec. Of Treasury, CBO Director, and the SoD. Various Congressman of all parties participated in it and gave their opinions. (It was a heated Discussion)
So I dont understand where the,
"No discussion, no research, no thought. They are just in it to push one button to lower the tax and then will consider their jobs done."
This is a completely false statement.
But if you want to talk numbers and facts here are some. You say the word "We" A LOT in this article. "We all want lower work taxes" "The American Military Party would love nothing more than to be able to lower the work tax and put money back in the hands of its businessmen and military units"
David Wilson Voted No for the 2% Work Tax Decrease.
8 out of the 9 AMP Congressman Voted No for the 2% Work Tax Decrease.
The "discussion" was all about enforcing an outdated and misinterpreted law, remember? There was no significant evidence in favour of reducing the tax.
It was neither outdated, nor misinterpreted.
Then again, this is to be expected coming from the supporters of high WT.
It was like 8 months old and all of the debate was about how to interpret the law given the reasoning when it was written alongside current circumstances. I personally don't support indefinite high WT, just want to be smart about lowering it.
Hmm... this responds to mis-characterizations of your side with further mis-characterizations of the other side. In the end, nothing is accomplished by the rhetoric.
Mus characterization show responsibility apparently 🙂
It was not my intent to mischaracterize. I was only quoting from the articles published by other party members.
So your thought process was what exactly? To say that te Feds and BSP are irresponsible is a blanket statement, and blanket statements themselves are irresponsible. While I get the idea that there have been some articles from people that have been attacking people unfairly from the lower work tax crowd, you saying that the two parties are irresponsible is wrong. I'm the PP of one of those parties, and honestly to say that I'm irresponsible is an insult to myself and others that have been moderate in the discussions.
All I'm asking is that you don't characterize people with blanket statements. Then you become what you are fighting against. How about saying "some members of this crowd have acted rashly" instead of portraying all of us that way? Don't do the same thing that I know you are against. I like you david, I just vehemently disagree with the wording you chose to use.
For lower taxes, until the voting
Good Article DW, nice to see something from the less popular "reasonable decrease" side of things
Hi emdoublegee!!
EA!
Lol AMP is sending the same people as always to congress and they all voted to keep the high tax.
This is simply an attempt to ride the wave of the current public opinion to gain votes.
Sad grasping at straws maneuver.
We are sending Largo back, who voted for the tax decrease. We are also sending several new faces. This isn't about votes, it's about having a reasonable conversation and not oversimplifying a very complex issue.
There is nothing complex at all, it is very simple. The law ended and so should the tax for the law. That is it there is nothing more to add to the situation
That's where we disagree, and why most of us voted no last month. Lucky for you, you don't have to listen to any other considerations because you now have the majority you need to vote it through.

1 vote for and 8 against lowering taxes does not = "We are want lower taxes"
Not a very honest plea to the public imo, not today!
Vote Black Sheep
Vote Feds
Vote Lower Taxes
★★★★ Baaaa ★★★★
Just because we voted against it last month doesn't mean we won't change our minds with new information and a better case made for the benefits of lower taxes. That was the whole point of this article.
I do hope that is true!
Sad attempt to get votes. as said already proper information was presented by Black Sheep and FEDS you only had 1 yes vote for lower taxes and and you still had 8 votes no. If you wanted to help lower taxes you would have.
Vote Black Sheep
Vote Feds
Vote Lower Taxes
★★★★ Baaaa ★★★★
What was this "proper information"? I must have missed it. The only thing I saw was "OMG we have 10 million lets lower taxes right now!"
Yes proper information was given if you could read properly you would see it. Narrow minded people tend to read narrow too.
Oh look, more ad hominem attacks. These are just the kinds of statements AMP is trying to avoid this month as they hinder progress and good decision making.
your making false statement articles about us and saying I am making ad hominem attacks good one !!
I'm happy to correct any false statements brought to my attention.
