AMP Monday Night Baseball

Monday Night Baseball starts tonight in http://mibbit.com/#amp.games@irc.rizon.net at 16:00 eRep time! We're looking for a great turnout for this new version of a classic game. Join or observe, you'll be sure to have a great time. Now, let's recap the rules!

We start by dividing the players into two teams. Team 1 will be up to bat at the top of the inning. Team 2 will be taking the field to oppose them. Team 1 will select their batting order while Team 2 selects a pitcher and the rest of their field positions (1st-3rd base, SS, L/C/R Field depending on the # of players)

The first player steps up to the plate and the pitcher will throw out a category of girl (or guy if that what the pitcher is into) that they want to see. This of course correlates to the different types of pitches. The batter now has 30sec-1min to find an appropriate picture and link it in IRC. For instance Asian girl is called out.



The umpire will now determine how hot this picture is on a scale of 1-X where X is the number of players on the fielding team. If we had 9 fielding players then on a 1-9 this girl is a 4 (funny, cute, but not showing any cleavage). I called a 4 so this is a hit to player #4 on the fielding team. Pitcher will be 1, Catcher 2, then the basemen, shortstop, then outfielders. Now the job of the called outfielder is to find a picture of HIGHER hotness. Same time limit applies.



Oh WTF. 2 If ONLY for humor. Take the batters score and subtract that of the fielder. 4 - 2 = 2 for a double hit. A 4+ is a home run. A 0 or less is a strike out. One strike = out for simplification. This could change depending on how long the game takes. We will also start with 3 innings and see how that goes. The basics of baseball are of course applied.
