Our recent action in Mexico was justified by pushing back the borders of an avowed and unstable PEACE nation and their allies from the Rio Grande. This created a bit of a buffer before American home territories could be directly assaulted. Above and beyond that, our national interests were served by several other global-strategic considerations.

>Our ally, Romania was under attack by both Indonesia and Hungary and was suffering from the overwhelming numbers arrayed against them. Our attack on the Indo/Hungarian's alliance-mate split the PEACE attention and focus. As a member of ATLANTIS, we would hope that our mates would come to our defense if the Continental US were under attack. We must earn this and we have made a downpayment.

>Our average citizen military strength two weeks ago was two thirds that of the average Indonesian. Their active population is more than two thirds of ours. Their highest ranked citizens are among the most powerful tanks in the eWorld. We have some, they have a frightening number of the top 100. We need to keep closing this gap. After they battled Romania with substantial allies and we battled Mexico alone, our average citizen strength was 3.00 to their 3.83. Still behind, but a significant improvement. We must catch up or be overrun.

>Our war increased our average citizen experience points. This hastens both monetary rewards and unlock features. The citizens benefit.

>War makes hospitals available to all citizens who chose to fight. Hospitals dramatically increase the average citizen wellness. A higher citizen wellness translates immediately into higher productivity for American industry and nearly immediately into higher wages for workers. That is a benefit to every eUS citizen and to the eUS Treasury. The rising tide lifts all boats.

>PEACE has taken one of the last high quality iron regions available to ATLANTIS. This is no small matter. Without iron, we cannot manufacture weapons. Without a weapons industry we lose both jobs and the ability to defend ourselves. If we let that happen, our defeat is inevitable. Therefore we must secure our access to iron. If our allies cannot do this alone, then we must project our might to enable the entire alliance to do so collectively.
