Ambassador Corps.

I'd like to start the ambassador corps again for this February.

I do not need the "report each week" thing, it is not necessary. I just need a person in their forums, irc, and with friends there, and be a person they can speak with.

It is very simple: You go to forums and irc, talk with people, make friends, and if something interesting happens, or that you think we should know, you post it in the forums or tell it to me (or wincenty1).

Requirements:

*Be active at IRC: If you think IRC isn't necessary for the game, and do not go there much, we won't even consider you for the job.
*Be active, in general. You need to know what's happening in the country, and if something important happens, you must tell it to us as soon as possible. For this reason, if you connect to eRepublik 10 minutes / day, you will be in no position to do so.
*Be able to register in their forums, and maintain an embassy there (you just need to post our cabinet there, anything important happening, such as our TW with Uruguay, and that we do not need them to fight there)
*Have a reasonable quantity of friends on RL. If you have 0 friends in RL, chances are that you won't make many friends here.

Bonus:

*Speak the native language. It is not necessary, but highly recommended.
*Know well at least a person well considered and important in the country. It helps to have friends there that can help you enter easier into the community.

If you are already talking in an irc channel frequently, and have friends there, then why not apply? You'll have to do the same, so, at least, you'll get the benefits 🙂

Benefits:

I know that many people consider the job of the ambassador useless. However, that is absolutely false. You are an enormous help for us, and influence a lot our decisions. Also, I believe the job doesn't get enough recognition. Unfortunately I can't pay you (no country does) But I will release an article at the end of the term with histories of yours, or reports, or moments where your help was really important. Also, it is a vital job if you want to go on to positions such as MoFA, or even president, where the skills learned treating people of other cultures and/or background, position and beliefs are essential.
Even if you are not interested in those positions, you will probably make good friends, and in the future (or maybe even present), that's the only thing that eRepublik will offer. The people. Because, really, this game is boring as hell. The people changes it, though.

And remember, it doesn't matter if you haven´t been ambassador before! Everybody has to start someday.
