All the information that even Stillfront needs to know

Day 3,479, 08:36 Published in Cuba Spain by Marchao

You probably know by now that eRepublik was sold to Stillfront Group. Now let's see why this has happened, what is Stillfront, what can we expect, what they should except, and more...

Not a Windows Logo. Stillfront Group logo.

eRepublik in the worst moment

Long time ago a lot of people is predicting the end of eRepublik.
Reasons: Too much time passed. The unbalance of forces. The infestation of multiaccounts. The lack of good communication between the developers and the community. The bugs. The unnecesary upgrades that leave behind much needed fixes and upgrades. And the proliferation of eRepublik ripoffs are the main keys of the eRepublik decline.

But developers and the community are still alive. Revenues. Some upgrades, some events and the investment that players made on their profiles are reasons to keep alive the game.

Even so, the game is not in the best of its shapes. In fact it's one of the worst times in its history. Too many players had left, the multi-accounts are still protected by moderators if created by paying-players, and the lack of fixes and balance are making the site going down to historical records.

So, Bonte makes the final move and sells the company without losing his job.

Stillfront Group takes on eRepublik labs.

Even Stillfrong Group says they are an independent creator, publisher and distributor of digital games, I couldn't find any game created by them. What I did find is that they own many developer companies, and therefore they are a Group. So, they are more like investors, Nasdaq players, bussinemen.

This could be dangerous if they try to over price even more eRepublik which may lead on the very announced death of the game. But we will have to wait to see.

Some of the games owned by Stillfront are very popular, like Unravel, which they own and was made by Coldwood Interactive and published by Electronic Arts.

More interesting is that they own games that could be seen as similar than eRepublik, including but not limited to Supremacy 1914, so we could say that they have experience in this kind of games.

Supremacy 1914

I don't think we should expect they will take features from those games into eRepublik because the developers are half independent so it would be too hard to make such moves and also Bonte and their team are still in command of eRepublik Labs.

What I expect is that eRepublik Labs have more financial support and also more pressure to 'make eRepublik great again'. That can be a great news for all, but also we already know how they do things, so we can not be too much excited of the news when there are many bugs, many unused things (not q7 weapons, hospitals, low tier travel tickets, most of the guerrilla module, most of the companies, lack of air improvement, many community suggestions not taked care of, etc).

So this news could be a great news or the worst of the news. Time will tell.

Tell us in comments what do you expect, are you hyped or worried?.
