ALERT !!!! HACKAERS ARE ONLINE !!!

This is a code RED alert!

Citizens of eDenmark, and of EDEN... BEWARE!

eRepublik has been hacked! Accounts are being hacked, of which EDEN governmental and military orgs and companies. EDEN players accounts AND Personal Computers (PC) are being attacked, emails are being stolen, and bot farms are being created!!

This might be why EDEN countries weren't able to declare war, or even start a battle. Many (especially Croatia) has encoutered theft.

YOU ARE CURRENTLY AT RISK. Your personal eRepublik account, as well as your EMAIL and COMPUTER can be targeted by this hacking.

We believe that the source is a WORM that is entering your PC when you are entering a battle on EDEN side. Some people who fought on EDEN side have reported being PERMANENTLY BANNED by these hackers for fake reasons (Unlawful citizen name and avatar)
We have already started seing some cases here in eCanada.

Entering the battle on EDEN side causes IP bans, huge lag, orgs are being hacked (Croatian military), players accounts are being hacked and their private emails...


How to keep yourself safe:
1) DO NOT FIGHT IN ANY BATTLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Standing CAF orders are overturned by CSIS for security purposes, until this crisis is solved by the admins.
2) DO NOT CLICK ON ANY UNKNOWN AD. Even better: do not click on any advertisement at all

If you think your account has been compromised, please do the following:
1) STOP FIGHTING (if you are fighting)
2) CHANGE YOUR EREPUBLIK ACCOUNT PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY
3) CHANGE YOUR EMAIL PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY
4) CLEAR YOUR BROWSER'S COOKIE CACHE AND TEMPORARY FILES
5) FULL SCAN YOUR PC FOR VIRUSES, MALWARES AND SPYWARES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
6) REPORT TO ADMINS



If you have been banned by the hackers please SEND A TICKET TO ADMINS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

One last important rule: VOTE this article up, so that other citizens can be informed of the situation, SUBSCRIBE to the CSIS newspaper for updates on the situation, SHOUT a link to the article, and GET THE WORD OUT (on IRC, Forums, etc...)

If you follow these instructions, you will most probably stay safe.
