Dear citizens of eIreland,



I have left eIreland for some time, but this doesn't affect the Air Rank Program in any way. From time to time I will make interviews with the participants of the program, in order to know each other better. Yesterday I interviewed Vincenzo deAbrignani, who came from Italy to Ireland. I asked him about the situation in Italy and the fate of the air program he once managed.





Let's start with the usual question: Tell about yourself! Who are you in real life? How did you find and join the game?

Well let's start, I'm an Italian doctor fresh degree waiting to start work. Currently, I spend my life between hard work, and kick-boxing (my passion), and.... You know, being of latin blood I'm a softy myself when it comes to women.. 😛
See, two years ago, wandering through the pages of a strategic/military games forum, I found a discussion on eRepublik. So taken the nick of one of my ancestors, Colonel V. deAbrignani, commander of the fortress of Ghat in the Libyan desert during WWII, my adventure began.


That sounds interesting! How was your career in eItaly? What positions did you have and what are your best memories there?

Yep, we know all the limits for a new player, so being ineffective on the battlefield has led me to devote myself to country's management since the beginning.
I was a loyal pilot, then sergeant, and finally captain of the 7th regiment in the now former eItalian public MU (Esercito eItaliano) there I founded, and managed, the aeronautical academy, where even before Plato foundation we were able to achieve a reasonable success.
In the government I worked several times as a minister of defense and education, dealing mainly with welfare and economic / military player's growth.
My story in eItaly is full of many satisfactions, as great disappointments, but the most amusing moment was during the last government with Jomsviking as president, in the spring of 2017, where as Minister of Defence, we prevented landing of Sweden in Switzerland (in a coordinated Pacifica attack to Syndicate countries), we failed the Syndicate counterattack in South America (final gesture of that alliance), and destroyed the attempt to invade Italy by Spanish/Asteria forces in Sardinia. You know, in that week, Italian damage was second only to Serbia, this mainly thanks to the efforts of generous players like Ikki of Phoenix, and careful management of the COs.


What happened later that made you leave Italy?

There are many reasons... First off all is boredom; everything in Italy is very static, there is little cooperation with the "friendly" nations, the few tanks prefer to shoot for medals rather than follow governament order, if it is an opposing government even more ( just look at the last real battle of Italy, during the AS against friends of Georgia, It was lost with a shameful result of 88-0. Many Italian players didn't shot, others fought for Georgia.The case is still controversial, but it seems that the attack was wanted by Romania) .
Second for the internal splits, there has never been an intention and a common goal ever since I got here. Fights and the flames are continuous in the congress and press, moreover a right idea is denied in advance if it comes from an opposing side.
But the straw that broke the camel's back was the break-up of my political party, with most of my friends left for a dictorial party, and they thought it was ok to leave as a last memory the theft from party fund.


What is the reason for the split, it is a reflection of differences in real life Italian society, or it has purely ingame reasons? What do the different sides represent?

In the last two years the splits have been between two blocks that isn't a real reflection of Italian society.
On one side the main Italian political party FDeI, on the other side the rest of the Italians. FDeI adopts a very particular policy, it is a party supported by three main players who have alternated in the various governments they presided over. They are against any form of extragame, including the Discord chat platform, and they don't comunicate a lot with citizenship. Some of their congressman have a very low level despite being in the game for several years and turn on online only in election days. They also command two of the strongest MU in the country that together represent up to a third of the overall Italian damage. This means that in non-FDI governments, Italy does one third less damage in priority battles.
Nowdays Italian policy has been turned upside down, an old visa player (and ex Dictator too) is back, has set up a new party, he promises a new future for eItaly, so many players left their parties and join him to what as become the main political group..
So I found my self in eIreland 🙂


And how did the air academy end? Did it fall victim to the internal fights?

Yes,to a certain extent
Let's jump back to September 2017, the air academy project was inside the public MU Esercito eItaliano (EI), which was supported by speculation's revenues (it owned a good part of the Italian Org).
Kimilla as President eItaliano (the only Italian moderator, and elected with 39.73% of the votes) decided to privatize EI, take the Org entrusting them to Congress, and gave the commander 7/10.000.000 cc (the real ammount has never been published) as "severance pay". Ironically, three months later Kimilla herself became commander, and what happened to cc was never known.
Several of my companions and I left the MU, and the project fell into oblivion.


How came to your mind to choose Ireland for new home?

Aimeisan, surely you understand, I had to get away from an environment too tight for me.. So, reading among top international news I came across one of your articles on the Aviator exchange program. Let us say, I happened upon it by chance, a smaller country, with an international environment, and an excellent pilots support program (right now that there are no CO), it was the best I could expect! So here I am 🙂

Now there is 45 permanent participant in the eIrish Air Rank Program, all of them received 500 Q5 food, that together is 22 500 Q5 food, from this 20 000 came from FRITZHILL, 2500 from me. Their rewards for the last week cost 154 510 CC, from this 100 000 came from FRITZHILL, the other part from me. This is not the first time I receive donations from him, thank you very much for the donations!

About the Aircraft Rank Improvement Program

The aim of the Aircraft Rank Improvement Program is to encourage and support players to improve their characters in air battles, who are too weak in ground battles. The participants of the program receive reward for their activity in air battles. This reward is 5 IEP/1 aircraft kill. The rewards are counted based on the number of aircraft kills in the weekly leaderboards, and will be paid every week on Tuesday after week change.

The conditions of the participation:

• You have to be eIrish citizen,
• Your ground rank has to be under Legend,
• You have to apply
