OK, I'll get this over early, this month I'll be running for congress in Alberta under the MAP.

As always the question is why vote for me? We can face several things head on such as I'm not a popular congress member and well some of the most noticeable traits are often when there's conflict started by myself.

Let's break that down though to a simplier concept though. I'm active and watching. I demand accountability from those elected, I demand elected officials to be active. Like it or hate it the government should be doing something and I make sure they are on the ball and working. Maedoc recently wrote a very good article about mediocrity and I'm not one to settle for it, so what some may accuse me of being a minus on some points I consider it a plus.

Something else I'd like to cover as it's always a hot topic is taxes and spending. In June and July congress went on a spending spree and military funding was never higher in eCan's history. The problem was they never done anything to counteract this spending and were very close to bleeding the countries resources dry. This last month we worked out a way to counteract the amount of spending and instituted a new budget that does drop military funding. Obviously this is not entirely popular however it was a needed move to balance income to spending before the treasury was completely dry.

I will state straight out that I supported this measure and will continue to support it. While I do not believe the country should have massive surpluses built up we should have some ability to cover costs, even some unexpected ones. Do I believe MU's should be supported to the best of our abilities, yes. There is a balance though that I will always fight for, we cannot dish out more money than we can afford. We also can't max tax everyone driving up prices on a regular basis as it leaves us no where to go in an emergency. I will continue to look for and support a fair balance to taxation and funding that everyone can live with.

On other issues I've often been able to find and propose a compromise between opposing sides that in the end were accepted as a fair solution by both sides of the issue.

All good reasons to vote for me on the 25th.
