Old Man Murdered

A kind old man known throughout the neighborhood for offering guidance to young people and frequently reminding others of their duties in the New World was recently reported missing. Known only by the name Plato, he was last seen in full health on the last presidential election day. News, Inc. has now confirmed rumors that the Admin has murdered this old man, a relic of the past with no part in the new New World. Furthermore, seeming entirely nonplussed by the ordeal, the Admin has seen fit to distract others from his disappearance by hiring more young women to to replace him. This grossly agist policy is sad, and some in the New World will always remember Plato, whom many saw as a sort of grandfather-like figure, and the guidance he offered them in their early days of eRepublik.

RIP Plato

!! Buttons Broken. Again
With the release of the new war module, the button to check your newspaper !! has broken once more, as it did with the release of V2 in general. Pure coincidence, I'm sure. It could also perhaps be a move by the shadowy world government, known as Admin, to cover-up the disappearance of Plato. Nonetheless, people must be vigilant! Be sure to look in the Top news and Recent news in your nations for updates on what is going on, and Americans in particular watch the Department of Defense orders closely.

Not that our media has too much worth reading anyways. My previous article about how happy I am to not run for Congress made it into the Top 20. Sad day, fellow citizens. Get out there and start writing! Be creative! Be informative! Be crazy! Be assuring! Be critical! Get writing.

War Module Opens; Players Ignore Admin Pleas to Be Peaceful
Wars broke out around the globe as the new module was released. The Admin had requested that the New World hold off on major battles so kinks could be workout. The New World in unison replied, "lolno" and proceeded to march onto important battlefields around North America and Europe to kill each other. The United States attacked Russian-occupied Alaska and, showing that either through new rules or a glitch neither initiative nor blocking mattered, Russia retaliated with a simultaneous attack on Washington. Fighting also broke out in places like Podolia and Slavonia. All in all, it appears that EDEN and the United States seems to be winning early-on in V2 and adapting to the new system better. Governments and militaries are still testing things out, though, and it will be some time before the new module is able to be adapted to and truly good battles fought.

A veteran rifleman and Field Marshall, I deployed to Washington State to fight off the invading Russians. My first fight was against a Servian veteran tank. He died. Then I picked off a French rifleman and after that a roflcopter. Finally a group of Peenix soldiers descended upon me. I took out three of them before finally being shot off of the battlefield.
I just re-deployed and killed off three more infantry, an artillery, and a roflcopter. Suck it, commies.

I will say this about the new module: in conjunction with the graphics for Downtown and Uptown, this game is becoming very difficult for people with slow/old computers and weak internet connection to play.
Also, way-to-go Russians for figuring out how to DDoS us every time it was our turn to prevent us from being able to attack. Skynet wins again.

Meh. Not too much to report on at the moment as things are so confusing and still adjusting. We'll see how things go!
