Activity Crisis
David Wayne Smith Esq
Hello all,
I am writting today to express that I am finding less to do on eRepublik these days. Sure I show up everyday work, work out and vote when it is an election. Occasionally I will write an article that last about 5 minutes (not that you folks dont make it last....im just not writting very interesting articles...however Farticles will last for all time). So I stand before you with very little to do after my five minute spurt of work and my 35 to 40 minutes of sifting through articles and finding what is up in eRepublik. What is there to do? Some citizens will tell you that there is a lot to do including running for office, writting articles and of course planning take overs and participating in wars. I will tell you that it is no fault of the admins and it is no fault of the citizens. There are many colourful citizens who make elife that much more exciting but still I wonder what more can be done to make my E-sistance a better one. I have wanted to purchase a company but we all know that takes gold and I have not yet reached that goal (eventually I will get there I am sure) starting an organization for the arts has crossed my mind (allowing citizens to give a link to art work or music they have produced...after a brief but careful screening process of course) unfortunately this also take gold which I do not have enough. (ps. if anyone is interested in starting up that org with me let me know)
Basically I am at a point in my elife where I am working my way through the ranks of already established eCitizens and sometimes it can in fact be a grind. Hopefully some day soon I will leave a wonderful or at least a lasting impression on eRepublik, until then it will just have to be nose to the grind stone.
WTF to Boredom...
Thanks for reading

I sympathize with you DWS. That's why I put together the Award for Best Article to give me something to do and am now developing it into a larger project to index all great Canadian articles. The trouble is that now a busy RL is making this less possible to complete. So, if you want to busy yourself with cataloguing great articles, contact me.
Otherwise, I think that the Arts Org. you proposed would be a great idea. There is already the Writers' Guild of Canada and it would be interesting to have more such projects to develop eCanadian culture. After all, if new players get bored, why would they keep playing. We need ways to keep people interested in eRep beyond the initial point-and-click experience.
I will be happy to donate nearly any amount towards this. I would also suggest joining the Democratic Action League (DAL)- we specialise in expanding exactly this sort of thing.
I am told by my minions writing code that DAL's eHockey for eRepublik is only a couple of weeks away....DWS would be a good defenseman, Dominik a goalie, and Plugson could write it up when not teaming with DWS on the blue line.....
Yeah, I'll be goalie. Real life skills don't count right? cause I'm an atrocious hockey player 🙂
I have Created the Canadian Soceity for the arts. Donate and become a friend!
I think a part of the reason why you're bored may be because you haven't been masked as a citizen in the forums. I see you signed up in the forums back in February, but still haven't been masked yet. Have you tried sending a PM to Mustache Dictator to ask for citizenship masking? Then you'll see a lot more stuff happening on the forums.
