Accelerated Development Program

Day 784, 01:19 Published in South Africa South Africa by eSouth African Presidency

The eWorld is growing. It is important as a country to recognise that we need to have a system in place that helps us keep up with this eWorld. In many respects this development curve can be handled by funding the military. This is a strategy game and developing our men and woman to be as strong as they can on the battle field is very important.

However there is another aspect to the game that cannot be handled with funding or taking advantage of game mechanics. We as a country have to develop our leaders because at the end of the day strategy is nothing without effective leadership. This development has to be nurtured through all tiers of government. If we successfully develop players to lead and contribute to our society then we as a country are fast on the way to becoming a major player with the eWorld.

It is with this in mind that I implemented the Accelerated Development Program (ADP). We as a eCountry have for a long time had a mentorship program. We help those people that have just entered the game learn and survive through programs like eSAHC. When I first entered the game I joined a gifting circle, got mentored by Siroe (RIP) and received help from eSAHC. I was employed at a UNISA company. These are all things that helped me be here today. I want to see this spirit extended to include government. Working in Government is a far cry from being a two clicker. There are things that people need to know in order to successfully become a civil servant and I would like them to know this beforehand rather than learning it on the job. Economy, strategy, people’s skills, protocol and general management skills are crucial.

If you as a citizen feel that you would like to learn more about leadership, then I ask you to take advantage of this and contact the ministry which you have an interest in. I ask all ministries to lend the applicants your time, get them involved and help them learn. Let them lend a hand (if possible). This offer goes for all tiers of government including the presidency. If you feel like you would like to one day become president but fear that you don’t have what it takes then contact me and I will teach you what I can.

I hope that this program will help nurture a culture of education that will not be undone after my administration and that this will greatly affect the efficiency of Government to serve its people.
