A view to the future [edited]

Day 743, 04:04 Published in Australia Australia by Cerridwen Voeland
What we have achieved as a nation this term?

It has been an interesting one, starting with a media storm celebrating the reclamation of WA and the issues that arose from that. We signed an agreement with Indonesia to not attack each others original regions, we placed two Q5 hospitals - in Western Australia and South Australia, we endured a theft of our entire bank, crippling and exposing us to a roller coaster ride on the money market. Our Military and Industry went without funding, YET WE PREVAILED

OUR HOSPITALS WERE BUILT

OUR MILITARY FOUGHT FOR THE SOVEREIGNTY OF MALAYSIA AND WON

We now have an AUSTRALIAN as the Sol Military Commander.

We have furthered our relationship with BROALLIANCE.

Our new citizen program, although plagued with problems like the php feed, established the New Players Society and a start was made on the Library

The ongoing CONFLICT between the military and government process is finally being RESOLVED

And we are on the road to ECONOMIC RECOVERY -without a tax rise.

we are establishing ourselves in the world market with our diamonds, bringing in foreign investment.

Where as a nation can we go from here? and, more importantly, what do we need in a Prime Minster for the December term?

Our Military and Foreign affairs:
We are now in a position to adapt our military to meet ongoing needs -this will be necessary as we continue to venture out in the world. Our relationships with the USA and Canada are stronger, and we are well placed within Sol - you need a leader with the ability to work effectively with both of these alliances whilst still keeping the interests of our nation as their primary focus

Economy:
With the growth of our diamond and hopefully the returning strength of our grain industries, we will continue to bring in investment from external markets, this, paired with a GM education program, should promote growth in sustainable and profitable Raw Material areas, returning land skill workers from medium and low RM companies back to profitable sectors of the market. This should bring about a marked increase in GDP

We continue to recover from the theft slowly, but we have managed to do so at this point without raising taxes.

Cultural Services and Information
The education and encouragement of our citizens is necessary for the development and growth of our community. We can commit to alliances, develop targeted economic strategies, but if we have not invested in our society, helped our community to thrive and grow, there is no actual gain.

Now it is time to look inside ourselves

we need to keep those who have decided to sign up and take a look at erepublik

This term, if you will allow us, Garven Dreis and I would like to further the growth and education of our nation

This is something that has been a defining part of my erepublik life, and some thing we both see as integral to eAustralias future

The development of our citizens is more than just getting them to stay, it is about showing them how great it is to be eAussie, and what amazing experiences the can have here. it is providing them with easy to access information, and getting them engaged in our community

We will of course, continue and progress our involvement with Sol and Broalliance. with the intention of strengthening us as a nation and maintaining strong bonds with our allies

We will of course, continue to guide us through the process of re-establishing ourselves financially

We will of course promote our export markets in diamonds and hopefully grain -the two high region raw materials that Australia is plentiful in

but in the end - there is no game without YOU so this term, if you elect our team, it will be for YOU and every other eAussie out there.

Vote Garven Dreis for Prime Minister

I released this article intending to run for Prime Minster, but i am editing it to throw my support behind Garven Dreis. by running against him at this late point I will split the vote and there are some bigger picture issues that can not afford to be compromised at this time. Garven Dreis and I worked as a team this last term and will continue to again

I feel that our nation is currently involved and committed to a course of action that is more important than who gets the medal. I will still be in a position to effect the domestic policy i feel is necessary and will not potentially adversely affect my work over the past month. I did not want to remove myself as a candidate, but for the sake of our nation, i think it is the only solution.

VOTE GARVEN DREIS FOR PRIME MINISTER

Australia as a community and a nation, must always come first
