A Very Warm Welcome To The Poetry Corner!

Day 1,787, 18:05 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ronald Kray
Hello and welcome one and all!

It does me a pleasure to present you the first installment of Ed's Poetry Corner! This paper shall present you with the artistic and poetic works of myself and others. With the paper being new and all, I imagine I won't get many people who will want to contribute to the paper, which I can live with for now.

So for today's installment I shall provide you with one of my own. I thought that this piece would be more suiting to post then anything else I can post at the moment. It is a winter-themed poem with nordic themes and imagery to really give you the chilly northerner feel. Enjoy.

The Chilling Embrace of the Fatherland

Walk these steps,
Long and winding.

Through the nordic storm,
Treacherous and blinding.

Feeling its embrace,
Chilled and calm.

In the whispering silence,
Without care or alarm.

Stand these grounds,
With a fiery pride.

Take its heart,
For strength inside.

Bellow his name,
Unleash the glory!

By Woden's honour,
We live the story!
