Dear friends,

I will not be long now. I only have a small but important thing to say to you, citizens of the nation that welcomed me.

I wanted to talk about what is socialism in a nutshell.

Socialism is not lack of freedom. Socialism is freedom, in her sweetest and most graceful way.

The red idea is eventually undermined by fools who want power.

In a capitalist society, who do not want?

Socialism is love. Doing everything for others, preventing one overpowering the other. Socialism is joy, is the capacity to smile.

Socialism is the strength to fight for a better world.

Something that Capitalism never will equal is the incessant desire to fight. Capitalism is good at propaganda, put a beautiful girl in a Mercedes-Benz with a Coke in hand, and you will get many followers.

Socialism is deeper. Stronger. More human.

You speak of socialism, but what we have here is a sad shadow of what you describe. Here we have marginalization, class stratification, prejudice, selectivism, and blindness.

it is what we all want from socialism to be
but to do that, first thing that has to be on our mind is freedom, both material (existential) and personal. communism in form we see in CZ is only its most lowest level it can be, so low it cant call socialism, but quite opposite

If USSR didn't need glastnost and perestroika and had implemented transparancy and democracy before, it would not collapse. It's like in countries who have problems of unity, nationalism is imposed more strongly.
That's why we say something should be done early, before we reach the edge, before we reach the point from where we cannot turn back.
