A turn for the better

Is this a new beginning?

Imperialists, Traitors, Idiots, Noobs, Selfishness.

These were the words used by our own citizens regarding the US attack on Kyushu, Japan. Our own citizens. Not the enemies, but us. Those who think we're taking a turn for the worse - I ask you one question. Why?

We attacked one nation, not just because they were the gateway for Indonesia for the start of WWIII, but because when we try to go through them, they call us pansies, noobs, and scared. They didn't even think of the eUS as a respectable nation, but rather, one that stands there and does nothing. PHOENIX is now beginning to look at the US as a nation who doesn't stand for themselves, and they needed to make a stand.

The US is not the new PEACE.

This has been the association by many. Attacking one nation to stand up for yourself is not the "new PEACE." Now, if we attacked the UK, Mexico, Japan, Indonesia, Russia, Portugal, and France for no reason - well, that's another story. The US is not imperialists. They are our stronger allies, and are simply not going to take anything - that's what they wanted to show.

We will stand by our bros down South. We support each and every American Except Ajay Bruno.

They're our biggest ally. We're the damn Brolliance. We'll stand by their each and every move, as will they with us. We'll never leave them; we'll support them in all their endeavors, and they'll do the same with us. We will always be by their side. This was a step forward, and not a step back.

Congressional Voting Record

In-Game Proposals

November 26th

Transfer of 2500 USD from the country accounts to Revenue Canada by Banach
Vote: Yes
Reason: Standard Transaction - Money has no use in the country accounts except for citizen fees. We transfer money on a regular basis so we can utilize it for programs like the military, Meals on Wheels Canada, and various programs for new and old players.

November 28th

Issue 8000 CAD for 400 gold by Nosyt
Vote: Yes
Reason: Standard Transaction - we were behind on our printing schedule, and this had to get done. This helps stabilize the CAD, the economy, and wages/prices.

November 29th

Alliance with Australia by Cerridwen Voeland (President of Australia at this time)
Vote: Yes
Reason: Australia is a trusted ally, and we needed to update our expiring MPP.

Alliance with Spain by William Duncan (President of Canada at this time)
Vote: Yes
Reason: Spain is another trusted ally with an expiring MPP - we needed to renew this.

December 2nd

Transfer of 95000 CAD from the country accounts to Revenue Canada by Greg McNeish
Vote: Yes
Reason: Standard Transaction - Money has no use in the country accounts except for citizen fees. We transfer money on a regular basis so we can utilize it for programs like the military, Meals on Wheels Canada, and various programs for new and old players.

December 3rd

Tax Change: Moving Ticket Import Tax, 40% to 60% by Chucky Norris
Vote: Yes
Reason: This is something that was debated in Congress, and many Congressman were for it. Many other products have a high import tax to protect Canadian companies. This does the same thing, and protects our internal Canadian moving ticket and even oil industries.

Transfer of 27500 CAD from the country accounts to Revenue Canada by PimpDollaz
Vote: Yes
Reason: Standard Transaction - Money has no use in the country accounts except for citizen fees. We transfer money on a regular basis so we can utilize it for programs like the military, Meals on Wheels Canada, and various programs for new and old players.

December 4th

Minimum Wage change from 1.5 CAD to 1 CAD by Addy Lawrence
Vote: No
Reason: This was heavily debated in Congress. I was against it because it was proposed to help the problem of super high wages/super lower prices. This doesn't help, but rather create the problems. Companies will still outbid each other offering very high wages and very low prices, and create a bad market for general managers. Also, this would cut our valuable new players' budget, and hurt economically in the long run.

December 5th

MPP with India by William Duncan (President of Canada at this time)
Vote: Yes
Reason: India went to war with Iran, and EDEN is for liberating neutral occupied countries and helping them. We passed this as a sign to India that we're there, and that India is starting to become an ally.

December 7th

Peace with Israel by Jacobi (Current President of Canada)
Vote: Yes
Reason: We have no reason for this to be open after the attacked Greece to activate their MPPs, so they could help them with the Turkish problem left over from past Presidents. Other major countries like US, Croatia, and Sweden had already signed peace with Israel.

December 8th

Minimum Wage change from 1.5 CAD to 1.25 CAD by Addy Lawrence
Vote: No
Reason: This was also heavily debated in Congress.

MPP with Romania by Adiemus (President of Romania)
Vote: Yes
Reason: Standard renewal of an expiring alliance - Romania is another loyal, trusted ally.

MPP with Poland by Jacobi (current President of Canada)
Vote: Yes
Reason: Another stand renewal of an expiring alliance - Poland is a long time ally, and we have to make sure they're always on our allies list.

Forum Proposals (includes only official, open door proposals that have been voted on/are being voted on)

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=3959 - Speaker Voting, December Term
Vote: Adasko
Reason: Adasko has been a loyal patriots to eCanada. He has demonstrated a vast knowledge of game mechanics and just eCanada in general. I thought he would make a great Speaker.
Result: Moffington won (20-12), and became Speaker

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4225 - Transferring Canadian Foreign Aid Comapny to Ministry of Industries organization
Vote: Yes
Reason: Canadian Foreign Aid is an abandoned, government-run grain company. Many congressman thought transferring it to the Minister of Industries, Citizen B, would be helpful for all and he could use it as a valuable asset.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4219 - Increasing Immigration Canada budget from 200 CAD to 2000 CAD
Vote: Yes
Reason: This organization provides gifts and weapons to new eCanadian citizens, as well as provides moving tickets to eCanadians not in Q5 Hospital regions. It requires an increased budget to operate - why I voted yes.

Other Topics for Debate (note: eCanada forum links don't work in eRep. Just copy and paste the links into the address bar)

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=3912 - Bilingual Canada - A motion to translate all government-affiliated articles to French, and to have translators payed for their efforts. I was for this motion.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4161 - Income Tax change to 10% for all products - self-explanatory. I was pretty much for this motion.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=3360 - CSIS Motion Proposal- A proposal to have the leader (marcchelala) be irreplaceable, and have the position as long as he retires. I was against this motion.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4209 - Buy Canadian Act - A proposal that encourages government run organizations to buy from eCanadian business owners. I read the proposal wrong originally, and stated otherwise in the thread, but I am for this motion.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=3960 - Congress Medal Gold - A proposal that requires Congressman to donate their 5 gold to a government program. Many congressman, including myself, were against this motion, and suggested to rather encourage people to do this but not require them.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4108 - Congressional Committee for the Order of Canada Proposal - A proposal to establish a Congressional Committee to award the Order of Canada. I was for this motion.

http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=3622 - Proposal for a lower dollar - A proposal for a lower dollar, and an explanation why it would be better for Canada. I was for this motion.
