A TImely Hello

Day 490, 21:22 Published in China Australia by haugenmatt

Yes, honestly I realize it is the night before elections. I have waited to introduce myself for some time now for several personal reasons, but I know it needs to be done now. First off let me say that I am legitimately concerned about the well-being of this eCountry. China is definitely not where it should or could be. I intend to help bring it up to where it should be. I come here from eAustralia. In Oz I served as a three-term congressmen, serving in their very first congress since their independence. I also served as the Deputy Minister of Social Services, the Deputy Minister of Culture, and the Minister of Finance. I have first hand experience with rebuilding countries and I know I have the expertise and knowledge to help here--more so than many. I came over here is a small contingent of eAustralians looking for change and we are all whole-heartedly willing to give everything we have to help this place grow. But enough of my babbling. I have policy to present. Here is what I intend to try and accomplish in my term (should I be elected):
-Stabilize and deflate the CNY: Your currency is almost a joke. We need the government to take some intervention and bring the value of the CNY up to par. As a former Minister of Finance I believe I possess the ability to aid in this process.
-The establishment of foreign policy: As of yet I have not heard of China having regular, established communication with other nations. We need to establish ourselves in other countries if we hope to stay on the map for long.
-Regularity: I know this may seem ridiculous, but China is somewhat chaotic. Our media is irregular and inconsistent, the state of our economy is not regularly presented to the general populace, and I feel there is a general lack of organization here.

I have many other policies I would like to see instituted, but at the moment it is just not realistic. I feel like I can make contributions which may be invaluable to this nation. I have, admittedly, not been very active on the forums or IRC since I have moved here as my computer has crashed and is in the shop, but once I get it back I guarantee you will see a much more active Congressman. Once again, I believe I can be a true asset to your nation (well, OUR NATION). If you are in Shanghai I would very much appreciate your vote.

Thank you and goodnight. Best of luck to all running. Long live eChina!
