A Song of ATO and PTO - The eUS Civil War

Day 3,953, 19:55 Published in USA USA by Ronald Gipper Reagan

This is my first "real" article in awhile since I usually tell you about my awesome podcasts that you should totally listen to, but for the younger generations, and for older players alike, I felt compelled to write an article about the eUS Civil War.

It all started back in the spring of 2009. There was a young player back then by the name of me. Persecuted in my original 'Conservative Party', this began the long history of PTOing every party I ever built. If Plato ever instituted protections against domestic PTO's, who knows what may have happened, but I am certain I would have "won" a long time ago in that case. What was their original reason you might ask? It was very simple. I have always been extremely outspoken about my traditional, conservative beliefs, and a lot of people are completely intolerant about that. They wanted to take it out on me mechanically within the game.

We did this song and dance for years more. I would dabble in other countries or have some periods of varying levels of activity, but I created or helped to rapidly expand a multitude of major parties, that all ended with non-stop PTO for personal reasons by the powers-that-be within the eUS. The 'Conservative Victory Party','New Conservative Party', 'Republican Party', and 'Republican Liberty Caucus(merger between the Republican and Libertarian Party', all met with similar fates. It was not until the 'American Freedom Alliance' was created though that we stood any chance of opposing the eUS government, and were able to hold our party for any significant length of time.

After some time building up our support base of Americans, and starting to bring in new allies from abroad, the age of the AFA had dawned. The eUS government had long used their foreign allies against us, chiefly the INCI group, a vast horde of primarily Turkish players who long had the number one party and cooperated with the eUS government as long as their extortion related demands were routinely met. Other groups had also been a big help to the government, especially Croatians(who were originally loyal to our movement but had been turned against us by real-life extremists) and Albanians. These groups and others to a lesser extent along with American players loyal to the regime, and vast networks of bots controlled by fluffer and others played an instrumental role before this, and would continue to do so moving forward.

The AFA was truly a grand alliance the likes of which I don't think has been seen anywhere in the eWorld. We had players from all over the world in our party. Patriotic Americans fed up with the mistreatment and continued abuse by our government spearheaded the way, joined by many brave and loyal freedom loving Serbs, Greeks, Bosnians, Koreans, Hungarians, Romanians, Portuguese, Spaniards, Chileans, Argentinians, and others who were attracted to our movement. The government elites declared a "unity" movement establishing a dictatorship and virtual martial law within the country. Rather than recognize our right to exist and be mature about it, they dedicated themselves to our destruction, even ruining our resource bonuses to try to discourage people from staying in this country.

I have thought about this from time to time wondering if we could have done anything different. We made certain tactical mistakes for sure, but at the end of the day we were up against some radical people willing to do ANYTHING to preserve their pretend internet power. At our peak we were taking a third of the congress, and even putting up in the 40+ percent range in multiple two-way Country Presidential elections. From 2012-2013 we really gave the elites a massive headache for the ages. Our percentage however had dropped for several months, and so we decided to activate a sleeper agent working his way up the ranks of another party. This turned out to be a terrible decision though as while we did get a moderate boost in congressmen, literally HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of foreigners loyal to the government were then imported to take over our party. Once AFA fell the first time we jumped around from month-to-month, but things were never the same after that.

This civil war has an ending unfortunately very much like the real one. A noble cause, always outnumbered and with the odds stacked against them tried vigorously to resist tyranny and to fight for the rights of all eAmericans. To this day I remain the only "enemy of the state" recognized by the eUS government. I wear it as a badge of honor. I don't ask any pardon for anything I've done. I know we were right then, and even after all this time has transpired we were still right. You can't let people push you around and mistreat you. It's important to take a stand for what you believe in. It's sad to see this "game" lose SO many people from those days though. There are some old friends still around, but so many gone. With how awful the world is these days, it's good to know there are still some willing to be steadfast in their resolve and raise their sword when it's needed. AFA lives on in spirit, and in our hearts. I only wish D & D had written us a better ending, but I for one took it like a Mannis!
