A return to Congress

Greetings Iowans and Americans,

Every since my nail-biting recount election in Iowa, I have thrown myself into the work of Congress. To illustrate why I deserve your votes in the upcoming elections let me detail what I have done in Congress.

To start, the biggest issue coming in was the proposed Asturias peace accord with Spain. This was hotly contested in Congress and in the AMP itself. After hearing from our advisers I decided to tack my own course and speak out against peace with Spain. I felt that fixing damage on the home front and keeping multiple fronts open would be more damaging to ONE that closing the war for now. The debate was lively and good spirited but in the end a slim majority voted to make peace.

We agreed on the forums, the vote was set in game. Then this happened.



After a short debate, Myself and Chucky Norris led Congress in a constitutional amendment to bring our forum's guiding document into line with the reality of game mechanics. No longer should our nation be embarrased by Congress being unable to enact it's will upon the game.

Other issues that have crept up include: the folding in of several MU's into the official military; the passing of a budget to reflect the new funding situation; accepting a new nation, Japan, into the TEDEN orbit, and lowered taxes.

It has been a busy month but I hope that Iowans can look at the things that America has accomplished and choose Dokomo to return to Congress to continue the people's work
