Greetings and Salutations to all,

I am Octavius Dryst. Considering this is my first article I feel it would only be prudent to introduce myself formally to the lot of the Irish citizenry. First and foremost I am a fellow patriot, a citizen that wishes to serve his great nation to the utmost. I am a proud and active member of the IUP, a well run, well established, and in my eyes and those of many, highly esteemed party. Today marks the end of my first month in erepublik. As I have not yet missed a day I have received my first hard worker award. I am sure more are to follow. I am active in our current war games and will raise in rank tomorrow. I am also a very active social player. I love conversation and discussion, so by all means feel free to message me with any questions comments or concerns you may have.

Hopefully now you all have a better idea of who the man behind the darth vader super imposed onto a portrait of Napoleon is. With that said I now wish to announce my intent to run for congress in the North East region under the IUP banner. Though I am fairly new to this game I am an active engaging player and have the sole intent of acting in the best interest of my nation and my fellow country men and women. Considering the IUP mission statement
"The Irish Union Party has the goal of remaining neutral from any major battles or alliances. But still maintain good relations with our neighbors USA, Canada, and the UK. We follow capitalism so little government involvement (less taxes). The big goal of the IUP is to work with the other parties to further eIreland."
it is easy to see why I wish to run under their banner and what path I intend to follow. Independently I have ideas on how to simplify the lotto system to avoid another scandal and perhaps increase participation and profit. I require more information on lotto turn out and such to provide accurate numbers, but the idea has a strong base that I think will flourish in the coming days,
