Join the new world

Good morning to the new world !

Yet again a new newspaper has been created to mix with the hordes of others out there! Hopefully it gets a warm welcome. The main objectives of Goonerpress will be to make news reports about Arsenal Football Club from the real world, mixed with some general football news, but also offer articles about news, politics and other stuff in the New World.

As the press director is a gooner himself, the choice of name and topics for the paper were obvious. The motivations for creating the paper are keeping other gooners in the game in touch with the Club, practicing my own writing skills, and of course a little vanity.

Sadly we missed this summers big transfer when Arsenal finally got rid of Adebayor, by selling this horrendous money grabbing character to Manchester City, where he gets more money, without any real hope for European football, and considering their hefty striking options, we might even have the joy to see Adebayor scrubbing the bench there.

Still the transfer summer is still young, and hopefully we will see some signings made by Arsene Wenger, at least a proper central midfield partner for Fabregas is sorely needed.

This paper will have new stories up irregularly, depending on the news and the time of the press director, but the hope is to start appearing daily.
