A New Dawn

So, that's it, the last day. On Day 959, the Servers will go offline and we will finally come to see V2 - the perfect moment for some last words.

Political

Today, being election day, we have had very crucial presidential elections all over the world determining who will lead their nations into V2. The elections are not over, however, the outcome can already be seen in some countries.

UK

Yeah, that's us, It couldn't actually go wrong - UKRP started with Glados, former president of the UK with a lot of experience, especially about foreign affairs and an affinity for valkyrian oil. TUP, on the other hand, had Ian Keers, loved by many, hated by the rest, a known economical expert with contacts and a certain reputation throughout all Phoenix-countries. Both good candidates. By now, it seems like the winner is (by a very small margin) Iain Keers.

Germany

There, we had a newcomer (marddin), supported by the German left-coalition, and the well known tmv23, who was supported by the Steinmetze and OMG, the biggest party. Tmv23 has a lot of experience in ministries, so he can probably Germany through V2, while people seem to mistrust a newer player; by now, it is actually clear that tmv23 is gonna make it.

Austria

After PTO-attempts, struggles for independance and a working country, Austrias parties have decided to have only one real candidate, Penegrin, a known member of their community. With all major parties behind him and only one contestant, NIKAN, it was sure the next president would be Penegrin.

Battles

Since you couldn't attack today, all important battles where opened yesterday, and everyone tried to secure as many high regions as possible for V2. First of all, there was, of course, Polands (and Irelands, not because they attacked but because they were involved in the battles) attack on UK in order to rent high regions in America. Also, Italy, betraying the Entente, cooperated with spain and they bith took Mexican regions. However, all of this happened some day ago; Phoenix striked back just yesterday, with the battles ending today. Since there won't be any battles for some time, the gained regions will stay in the hands of the occupiers for a few days. Latvia managed to get independant, but they don't have their high region back. Germany finally striked back and took Scania from Sweden; mainly in order to drain damage and annoy them. Croatia lost some of it's most important regions, Slavonia and Northwest Croatia as well as Lika-Gorski Kotar and Istria-Kvarner. All in all, an awesome ending for this world!

V2

Personally, I can't wait to see V2 without lame Betaservers, but let's see who'll stay afterwards. Let's hope as many as possible. I'll totally love the new economic module, that's for sure! Also, thanks to everyone for an awesome time in V1; let's have a better time in V2.
