A New Beginning...

Firstly may i take the time to thank everyone who supported myself and my fellow British Tea Party candidate Elias Green, we will not let you down and hopefully this will be the start of glorious things for our party. Secondly i would like to thank Angela Williams for allowing us the platform to stand in the Congress elections and finally to the ESO party. I am not foolish enough to think that i would have recieved anywhere near the votes required to gain entry into Congress if it wasn't for them. Thank you all.

I will not lie to you, this is a new experience to me. An experience i welcome and as a regular visitor to eRepublik i will not be a candidate either just out for the 5 Gold or the new fancy badge to my profile. I plan on making this my first election of many so there will be no taking for granted the support that has been offered to myself. I will not let you down.



I have had a good look at people wishing to be citizens of the eUK, voted in favour of NE Ireland so we can claim the spoils of the Irish peace treaty - Louth and Dublin, and will hopefully help eLiam (PM to follow soon Liam) in his campaign to vote in a mutual protection pact with Saudi Arabia in the near future. The good people of Saudi Arabia have helped us on the battle field on many times and it is always a pleasure in returning the favour for an ally. Hopefully this will help forge closer and strong links between our countries for a very long time to come. Tomorrow begins the absolute scouring of the official forums to learn as much as my simple little brain will allow regarding the workings of Congress.



Vote rigging - Much has already been said in the last 24 hours, and their is little I can possibly add. I don't like it, will never approve of buying votes but I do support candidates refunding travel costs to voters...especially new players where money is tight. I know this is just a game but we would not accept it in real life so why should it be acceptable in a recreational game? Hopefully ALL parties whose candidates have tried to buy votes will act and we will see level playing fields in future elections.
