A MOVIE A DAY ISSUE #2 11/12/2017 (Day3645)

I took full advantage of MoviePass this weekend and saw everything.

The Movies

Friday: Murder on the Orient Express. Movie was pretty slow but every now and then you get a chance to look at the beautiful landscape.

The humor was really good, especially by the detective. I do wish that Johnny Depp had a bigger role in terms of screen time because their sense of humor could have really worked well.

The plot twist is also really cool but don't see it unless you are already a huge fan of the old books and movies that this movie is from or you are the best Johnny Depp fan.

Saturday: Daddy's Home 2. I loved this a lot more than the first one. There were plenty of insane jokes thrown all over the place and I loved the acting done by Linda Cardellini, who plays the wife.

Towards the end of the movie a large portion takes place in a major movie theater chain so if you see it in theaters, it gets really awkward.

Sunday: The movie I saw Sunday doesnt exactly have an appropriate title, but I loved it anyway. I just found out it was playing in my city the day before and it stars one of my favorite actors, Jason Ritter.

It was about a guy who has a bunch of family issues, and there isnt really much I can give out about it. It was the perfect blend of funny, scary, and sad.

Fun Fact: Both Ritter and Cardellini are 2 of the main voice actors of my favorite TV show of all time, Gravity Falls.

Throwback

One of my favorite movies so far this month was Thor: Ragnarok and if you haven't seen it, you should. I saw it twice already within the first couple days of it being out and it was worth it. The graphics were fantastic, the music was pretty intense, and in many places, the humor was spot on, like in the very first scene.

I really liked how they just took the entire post credit scene from Doctor Strange and stuck it in the movie.

Upcoming Movies

What do I plan on seeing next? Well the only big release this week is Justice League, so while I will be seeing that, there isn't really much else. I might go see Wonder because I'm pretty curious about it and if I get a chance, I'll see The Star because you can't go wrong with animated stuff.
