A Message of Unity and a Shameless Plug

Day 1,213, 12:08 Published in Ireland Ireland by Reactionist

There has been a lot going on in Ireland these last few days and I just want to add my two cents to the flurry of comments that surround the current situation. Everyone knows that the elected President, Digits, resigned his post and has gone inactive. His opponent in the elections, Ariovistus, has taken over his role, despite the fact that the planned and intentional impeachment of Digits failed. He has done his best to reform and refocus the government and the Irish Army, both of which are in transitional phases.

Basically, I'm just telling you all the same thing that everyone else has said, or at least should be saying. Stick together, we need to make it through the TD elections and the CP elections and then we will be in a position to do something great with Ireland. We need to look to leaders who want what is best for Ireland in these hard times and do our best to follow through and carry on the improvements and plans that they put forth. TDs vote for what's good for Ireland and IA members wait on, and then follow your orders when fighting. And, if you have not joined the IA yet, you might want to consider it. I mean, it is certainly not for everyone, but we are a great institution that eIreland should be proud of.

The Shameless Plug (you can stop reading here)

I have decided to make a run for the Dail again, and, I figured, since no one else wanted to put an article out, I may as well be the first so it is not lost in the flood that inevitably comes around election time.

Why in the world do I want to be a TD?
You know, there has been a lot of talk about what is going on with all the TD's some are circumventing important procedures, others are leaving, and yet others are divulging privileged information. Even so, I think there are far more well-intentioned TDs than "evil" ones. And, furthermore, these "evil" ones are not all bad. They have made some piss-poor decisions, but haven't we all? (A few obviously don't have Ireland's best interests at heart, but there's no reason to spend any more time on them). I want to work with the Dail and form creative, multiparty solutions to the Irish problems that actually work. I am running under Marcus Suridius's Irish Independent Party, because I want to have every decision I make be what I think is best. Though, to be completely up front and honest, I have very leftist tendencies, particularly when it comes to the Irish Army.

In sum, I think it is pretty lame that I am the only cabinet level official who is not a TD 😉
