A Message from the Eire Aontaithe Party President
Bristel Akina
Oíche mhaith, a chairde,
I write this message in hopes that the latest scandal to hit eIreland has thoroughly amused you, it certainly gave me a few bemused smirks. (Thanks to a certain aptly nicknamed "Georgie O'Bush"...)
It has been more than 3 months since I came here to eIreland from the eUnited States, and I have to say it has been an enjoyable one, I hope to make it three times longer!
As the newly elected party president, I feel like there should be some expectations from me, but all I can say is "keep up the good work, we've come a long way".
I also feel that there should be some expectations for me... So please give me your expectations, and I will do my best to reach that goal of meeting or exceeding them.
I have several plans in the works for our party, and I'm planning on talking to President Moo about getting Éire Aontaithe members into cabinet positions. I'm thinking of three of you in particular, but probably more like 4 or 5 different people.
Let's keep pushing for 8 members of congress this election.
I believe Wandering Rian, Desarae and Connell Rath have done wonders to meet those previous goals, and every EA member should be thankful that we have such great teammates and friends.
As Party President, I am the "voice of the collective", as it were, I speak for you. So if you see that I am not doing the job you elected me to fill, please let me know.
Let's make this month even better than the last.
Also, as a reminder, I am pushing for a more aggressive role in foreign affairs.
Lately I've been asked to up the ante with my ambassadorial duties, so that is also on my agenda. I believe that both being PP and being an ambassador are majorly important, so I will try to do my best to balance the two.
Go n-éiri an bóthar leat,
Bristel Akina, PP of Éire Aontaithe

Care to stop mudslinging against us dirty commies?
Mainly 'cause you're also hitting the Republican Socialists in Labour...
How Ajay constantly gets away with it, when admin surely knows what's going on, will always befuddle me.
I like your style
🙂
Brian, I rarely mudsling against communists... Not as much as I once did, to be honest... 😉
I think we both have our place in eIreland.
I'm hoping that no matter what kind of mudslinging occurs between capitalists and communists that we will have the right to exist together, work together, and hopefully make eIreland a better place.
I know we have similar goals, and that is why I like the idea of working together on projects or in government... we can still disagree till the day grows long, though...
Longbaugh, it befuddles me to no end... I'm really quite upset that it goes on and on with him... He must be really obsessed with the game, in my opinion.
Grainne, thank you. I'd like to think my style is an accurate representation of who I really am. 🙂
Listen to me talk about obsessed... I'm up at 4 in the morning writing this... :3
"I'm hoping that no matter what kind of mudslinging occurs between capitalists and communists that we will have the right to exist together"
No one is capable of social oppression in eRepublik.
Censorship is impossible (except by the admins).
Rubber stamp elections are impossible.
Restriction of movement is impossible.
Seizure of property is extremely difficult.
These reasons are why communism is possible and fair in eRepublik, whereas the real world does not have these conditions.
BA congratz on winning my friend

@ Bristel
This cool new feature that allows you to see the time each comment was made allows me to surmise that you're an east coaster.
Greeting from Los Angeles.
/me passes a joint to Boru.
there there honey...
😃
@Longbaugh
I was born on the west coast actually, but I've been living on the east coast for a few years now... Technically, I think Pittsburgh is more midwest in flavor... I don't enjoy the east coast cities that much.
Boru if people are ever going to work together it has to come from both sides, bringing up one comment from someone who has been altogether uncontroversial will not make co-operation easier and is certainly progressive in any way.
Particularily when the same person has expressed wishes for coalitions and other parties to work together, you're only making your party a politically exile.
Cheers for the mention btw Bristel, I'm sure you'll do a great job
BB... *sigh*
Bristel, Congratulations. I for one, do want to Improve Lab and EA's relations especially, I feel our goals on United Ireland are very similiar as they are actually republican and not just "we want moar war". But, I have noticed your em anti Labour/ICA Comments aswell so it kinda gives me a sense of "say one thing, do the other" if you get me. Hopefully we can work on this.
To people who think that my previous comments in this article are somehow hostile: Calm down, it was half-joking.
"😉irty commies" <- See?
😃
So everyone stop thinking I'm trying to remove Bristel's head from his neck for five minutes, and maybe go have a cig or a beer or something.
Tbh, i'm still not altogether happy...
Half-joking is still not right. Whatever Bristel's opinions were in the past he is now for the next month representing EA and what he says reflects the collective party beliefs.
Confronting him with what he says as PP as nothing to do with what he has said in the past.
Thankfully we in EA are smart enough to realise that Brian generally just rambles. I have no idea what BB quoted in his second comment has to do with what he actually wrote underneath it. It made me LOL
Ty for the reassuring comment from the Labour org, the message is clear that parties need to work together to bring forward this country.
"Confronting him with what he says as PP as nothing to do with what he has said in the past."
Eh hem.
Again, half-joking.
Calm down.
...
lmao
haha good article sir
shall I roll a few more, so?
😃
Pass the dutchie on the left hand side... lol
of course Grainne!
Hey Brian - hope all is well with you.
Yeah, things are pretty good Heliconpac.
