Give me a bit more time

Not the grime on my engine
But some time to earn a dime
Racing is a lifestyle
An addiction
I need another mile
The wheel and road friction
The racing addiction
Facing opponents with fiction
Cars tuned to the max
Flying the streets of every city
Raising the tax on road repair
And getting major kitty
A race from Delaware to DC
Tons of money on the line
Your life on heart beat time
Split second and you could be gone
None never lost a race
But I have the racing empire to raise
And so I gaze
On this racing addiction
Remembering that racing isn't fiction
It is real Not a depiction
Telling you this brings me peace
So my rhymes could finally chill
Pieces of my memory will finally reveal
Reveal the real blank addiction
Addiction to fear
The split second life
And the love to win
The human addiction of racing
Hanging it self on a pin
Like I'm always drinking gin
Blinking at the sparks of racing
It's all just amazing
