Join the new world

- As of late I've been interested in running for President of the eUS. Only a few people knew of this up until now mainly because I didn't want to get my own hopes up. I write this article under the impression that I will not be gaining any party's endorsement for this upcoming election. So don't think of this as a platform per se, but more of what I'd like to see in a candidate. So candidates, feel free to make these ideas your own, I won't take it personally so long as you don't act like a total asshat.

- The Issues -

- Partisanship -

- After talking with Jewitt just now I learned something, sort of. There is apparently a massive amount of "partisanship" taking place in the eUS and it's somehow all Scrabman's fault. By gaining the Presidency he's somehow managed to attain a "USWP dominance" in our government. 15 Congressional seats and a President that tends to favor his own party doesn't sound as horrific as some of you are making it out to be. So he's got a cabinet "filled" with USWPers, I guess that would have nothing to do with him wanting a cabinet he can trust and has probably worked with before. I don't know about you, but I personally wouldn't to go into RL combat with a bunch of strangers given the option.

- So do we just ignore it? Honestly.....yes. This issue has already been advertised to the world twice over and at this point we are just picking at the wound by constantly bringing it up. Everyone knows that the USWP takes every statement about them personally, so I don't see the point in continuing the hostility. Both sides of this argument just need to swallow what's left of their pride and get on with their lives. Petty bickering gets us nowhere.

- Kyle321n claims he's "multi-partisan". That doesn't mean he's "non-partisan". He says he's going to listen to all voices equally, but what about the 1600 voices in the USWP? You can't just leave out half of the population Kyle, it doesn't work that way. He wants to get Scrabman out of office because of some make-believe dictatorship Scrabman has somehow developed in our own country. The fact is Scrabman doesn't rule our country with an iron fist, nor does the USWP, so stop believing that.

- One thing that did bother me though was that Scrabman apparently has a forum-modding addiction. By this I mean he has been deleting posts and demoting people on the forum for calling him out on the way he runs his administration. I personally haven't seen this happen so I won't pretend to know what's going on. But if this is indeed true, please stop it Scrab, you're being silly. As far as I'm concerned you should be spending less time modding and more time doing your job. The people didn't elect you to clean up the forums.

- The Economy -

- Well I won't get too much into this, but since this is one of my stronger areas I'll get into it just a little bit.

- Right now our economy is doing rather well. We have a stable dollar value, great competition in all industries, 0-skill jobs are available 95% of the time, and we are exporting 500+ Gold's worth of product a month. That's pretty good. One Eye is great at doing his job, being head of the Economic Council, and I don't think that will be changing anytime soon. The best economy is probably a stable one anyway.

- Oh, fiscal conservatism all the way.

- The Military -

- The military is doing better than it ever has. They're actually being funded now! The Marines are constantly being deployed and are getting some much needed international recognition for their efforts. From what I've heard, Scrabman has had a pretty much hands-off approach when it comes to the military. Congress gives them funds, Scrabman gives them orders, and that seems to be it. I'd like to see that continue as is. I don't want to see someone elected that pretends to know what's going on when they really don't; that's just stupid.

- Foreign Relations -

- Well we aren't being invaded... that's usually a good sign. Again, I'm not going to pretend to know what's exactly going on right now between our President and everyone else's because that information is "classified" or something. All I want in terms of foreign relations is this: stay on good terms with as many countries as possible, defend all our allies no matter the cost, and make an attempt to stop future political take-overs. I really could care less which alliance a new country joins because that's not our decision to make; I just don't want their treasury's to be stolen and used against us.

- Bringing Back The Presidency -

- Since the days of Sam our Presidency has never been the same. What is supposed to be the strongest political entity in our country has become just another position to fill. I don't want to see another President just roll over and die giving Congress all the power. So I ask another favor of our future President: grow a pair you asshole.

- Two-Party System -

- I'm just going to briefly explain why I'm probably not going to get an endorsement for President this time around and why it has the potential to ruin our entire election system.

- The reason why I probably won't get endorsed is because according to some people it's going to split the votes that Kyle would originally have received between him and I. From what I can gather that means I'm the exact same as Kyle and I won't have any affect on who was going to originally vote for Scrabman. Sounds a little elitist if you ask me.

- Another reason I'm probably not getting endorsed is because I had left the eUS and the game for a few weeks. All I'm going to say is that the eUS is a massive soap opera and I had exams.

- Anyway... Have any of you ever wondered why our current RL Presidential elections suck so much? It's because there are only 2 candidates that are forced to worship everything that their party tells them. If this country ends up like our RL country I'm gonna be pretty upset. All our RL candidates ever do is try and beat the other candidate. What they should be doing is concentrating on what matters and forget about the competition. If all you care about is beating the other guy in some sort of national competition then go be a pro-wrestler.
