A guide to eSerbia: History part II

Day 560, 12:16 Published in Serbia Serbia by eSerbian MoFA

In our story we last stopped at a point in eSerbia's history where we were a step away from oblivion. Our congress was TOed by eCroatia and it passed economically damaging laws, a Croatian was our first president, we were at War with eCroatia in which we lost 5 out of 7 of our teritories, and things were looking pretty grim. This all hapened between February the 12th and April 5th. Afther that things started to pick up...

Redemption:
After our inner political organisation reached an all-time low point, and a Serbian president was voted in, we started to see hope again and worked towards a free Serbia. We arranged to be annexed by the Bulgarians in order to cancel out the Croatian war with their many MPPs. We then regained the two territories not under Croatian occupation using RWs, the first of which was the EPIC Battle of Sumadija in which the better part of PEACE and Atlantis came, and the first Serbian victory in cooperation with PEACE was achieved. At this time Serbia was not yet a member of PEACE, but negotiations were open, and soon concluded sucessfully.

Peace:
In mid-April Serbia became a full-pledged member of PEACE GC. It participated in the Great War, trying to stop the Romanian hordes from taking Karnataka then pushing them back all the way into Romania after South Africa was pacified. We were there in Tamil Nandu, Andhra-Pradesh, Maharashtra, the EPIC battle for West Siberia, the battle for East Siberia. We were an important source of votes that helped secure the Russian congress back in April when the Romanian were trying a TO. And, despite the catastrophy that was befalling our own country at the time, we were there on May the 25th in Indonesia making all the difference with over 100 votes.

We were there during PEACE's darkest hour, when the hords were banging at Karnataka's doors, when Indonesia and Russia were close to being overrun in the elections, and we were there when PEACE won it's most glorious victory in the West Siberian Region, after the dropped 220k damage out of the sky. We have just rescently received a baby boom in our country, and participating in the PEACE War games since the very start has made our population stronger, and better prepared to fight for our country and for PEACE. We've come a long way together, but we still have a long way to go.

The troubles, continued again:
In the past couple of weeks, eSerbia has been the victim of a series of hacking attacks with devastating outcomes. Money was stolen from our finance ministry, hacked accounts generated wast amounts of our local currency - the Serbian Dinar (RSD), almost all of our top players got banned because their hacked accounts were involved in the cloning of our currency, or the Hungarian currency (HUF) and the last straw was what happened on our last congretional elections. There were two parties in eSerbia (there still are) and the president of the older party got his account hacked. The hacker rearranged the candidate list to put multies and romanian/croatian players into congress, then he resigned from the party. Come election day we got TOed, again by default, again due to the admins.

At the very same time we received our 2nd baby boom (the first was after the first congretional elections in February when we rose from 400 to over 2000 citizens) and we are extremely proud to have over 3.000 players in our two remaining territories and an estimated 4.000+ players in all 7 originally Serbian territories. The hostile congress voted the minimum wage to 35 RSD (was 1 RSD before) and raised the VAT and income tax on food, while lowering the import tax on it. They also lowered the citizen fee to just 5 RSD (was 10 RSD before) and abused the Job Offer bug to create fake jobs. They basically took every possible meassure to commit genocide to our babies. This leeds us to believe that if the hackers aren't Croatian, they're surely citizens of formerly Atlantis countries.

As always, we take every blow they dish out and try to cope. The dream of freedom from the partial Croatian occupation of our country is strong within us. Every day, we awake with the question - When will Belgrade be Serbian again? Every step we take, every decision we make, every breath we take we do with libery in our minds. Even though we had high expectations from the rescent attempts and even though we waited for so long, we're sure that as we have played an imporant role in PEACE's rescent history, PEACE will play an imporant role in our future. We helped PEACE be established in the World, now it's time for PEACE at home!
